ps. when dreamcast came out it was in competition with playstation 1 (it was supposed to be in competition wid the saturn but ppl forgot it existed), guess who won :D

the points i made earlier about the graphics was just a fact, that does not mean that the console is betta, look at the succes of the playstation 1, it outsold the playstation 2 by millions, bcz of the quality of the games, in dreamcast the game quality compared to that of playstation 2 was lacking by a mile....thats a fact.

the only good games u mentioned were crazy taxi and mvsc2, played the rest they were crap. And just bcz they are both 128 bits doesnt mean the performance is equal, u gotta look at the cpu, graphics in terms of polygons per second, onboard memory/bandwith and resolution, in all of the subsections ive mentioned playstation 2 raped the dreamcast, but u would expect that seeing as though dreamcast is an older computer. and segas reputation had nothign to do with the sales of the dreamcast, infact they were at their pinnacle at that time, now its all going downhill after the dreamcast....they stopped the production of game consoles and now their main focus is software publishing.....i think that move by sega explains whether the dreamcast was a success or a failure, im sure u dont need for me to spell it out......

and by the way... no, the DC has hardware almost equal to the PS2 my dear !
the only thing that makes the PS2 better is its actual DVD player which allows for more data to be kept on disk, thus making the game having more stuff and looking better !

as for the rest... well in history we had known that CPU doesn't do a thing in a console nor a PC, but video card does. thus even if the PS2 has a 300mhz CPU which is by the way far from being the best CPU in existence for that type of console. it has and proven a less then capable video card !

indeed, the dreamcast has a powerVR chipset with a big 8megs of memory while the Ps2 has only a mere nvidia chipset of 4megs !

i cannot also tell you on pathetic the sound chip of the PS2 sucks compared to the dreamcast !
also, to play online, at least we didn't have to wait to play online, as it already had a modem in it !

to be honest, if the dreamcast could have had his DVD player like it was supposed to, i wouldn't have have been more sure to be able to see games like MGS2 running perfectly and if not better.

truly, those who never really all the great games on the PS2 cannot really say a poop about it.
for all i know, MvsC2 isn't better on PS2, grandia II isn't bettter on PS2 and basically all remade of the games on PS2 are nothing more then simple ports from the DC to the PS2 trying to bring back the lost costumers !

truly, i cannot say the PS2 sucks badly, but in the end, you cannot say the DC sucks even more then the PS2, cause it sure doesn't ! i own one, and i wouldn't trade it for all the gold in the universe !

the playstation 2 didnt use the full capabilities of its system to make the games, i dont think they were to bothered about it, since they have vasts amounts of games in production which are going to be more successful than your dead or alives, or jet set whatever...... jus bcz the game card has more ram doesnt mean its betta tsk tsk tsk, ssj u losing it, nvidia is the best company in making grahics cards, dreamcast has some poxy low budget graphics card that probably fail on u after 5 years.

if you say the PowerVR chipset from kyro was even stupidier then the nvidia chipset by then, then you clearly known nothing !
the POWERVR chipset from KYRO had lots of potential and easily rivaled and even was better then nvidia and its crappy 128 bit chipset ! that i know, i tryed both of the chipsets back then and believe me, the nvidia sucked badly !

i still say you don't know anything about the DC and that you are sucking up sony's ass, just like all other fools that didn't even wanted to try the dreamcast just because the fliping PS2 was supposed to come out, when it actually took it 2 years after the DC for it to come out !

also, the DC had built in internet capabilities while you had been delayed for like 2 years after the initial release of the PS2 to have that same capapbilities !
also sony released the thing a year too early just because they wanted to have more customers cause the GC and XBOX was coming out as well ! which led to games that had lots of FPS problems and all which all other consoles didn't even had !

not to mention that all games on DC runs at a perfect 60/60 frames per second while the PS2 runs most of them between 40 and 60 going up and down ! thus proving the DC is stronger graphic wise !

the PS2 has a capability of showing you something like 30 million polygons per seconds on screen while the powervr chip of the DC can go up to 40 easily ! thus proving again that the power of the graphics were better on DC then on PS2 !

you think what you want, but one who say a console sucks and that it is is final point of view. is simply stupid cause all console rocked their world ! so i still say you are dumb to say that.

last time i post here... don't want this to go too far and i'm sure mister sony is god will probably speak again after me, because that kind of person like's to have the final word !

anyway back to the topic...
i tryed it with my games at home !
men, MvsC2 runs perfectly, so is CvsSNK and POWERSTONE 2 !
but it does need a very very high system for it to have at least 45 frames per seconds !

tryed on these...
CPU = 1.7 gig celeron
RAM = 512 DDR
VIDEO = 64 GF4 TI 4200
CONCLUSION = ran average with FPS going from 5 to 15

other system i tryed on...
CPU = AMD ATHLON 3000+
RAM = 512 DDR
VIDEO = 64 GF4 MX 440
CONCLUSION = ran greatly, around 30 and 40 frames at all times !

so i suggest people to ave a way more then capable CPU because it needs over 2 gig to actually work greatly !
man, cannot wait now that this is working we'll see even more characters coming out for the different games !

BTW, its just an alpha release ! meaning it was just a test (far from over) project for us to see what they were up to. so bare with them as they go on with this awesome piece of art !

1 i have played ps2 but i couldn't say i like it because even gamecube passes its graphics.

chankast- there are coming out with a new version soon to get rid of craches and fixing bugs and give better performance. They also have a prog that allows you to take the VMU saves from gamefaq's and convert them so u can use then on chankast. Which will save lots of time.
