"Through a once-in-a-lifetime conjunction of low cunning, ground cover, and sheer dumb luck, I've managed to hold out while every single one of my SEALS teammates have been slaughtered at the hands of the terrorist mob. Quick bastards and their grenades took out the bulk of our forces and as I lie here in the thick grass, I can see them over the hill; a great number of them, and whats this? Great, the last thing I wanna hear is an engine approach as I see the white pick up a quarter mile away and closing in. Two in the back arming the machine gun and two in the cab, I had no idea they were this smart. And to make it worst, they sent another group to snatch the humvee back at our base. One lonely SEAL against 16 well armed and well organized terrorists and me fresh out of grenades.

Whoever said war is hell doesn't even know the full meaning of the world."

ok, heres the low down:

1. vehicles
2. 32 players in total
3. more and larger maps
4. custom weapons
5. enhanced gameplay

1. Vehicles

tow types of boats, two humvee models, a tank and pickup trucks. now you can get tougher armor and a nice little personal extraction vehicle. alothough it wont be on every map, only a few selected and hosters can choose to have them in or not in other maps.

2. 32 players in total

yes, more, more players. 16 on one side and 16 on the other. now we can get ready for hell, much more hell, open them gates of hell!

3. the maps

with over 60 map options, including base terrain, game type and weapons. when you host a game, you can choose day or night, respawn on demolition maps, time, vehicles on or off, and a revolution on the weapons system. and with the vehicles, there are maps specially designed for them. one map i heard about and like is convoy. you gotta protect these cargo trucks as they move along and wait for them to load up at certain points as it moves to tight areas. easy right? yeah, until terrorist storm out from where ever with heavy weaponry. i lovin it. but to keep the game from getting mainly focused on vehicles, there are and will be points where you gotta move by foot again. larger map = more choas.....

4. custom weapons

it works like this. pick the M4A1, add the silencer AND the thermal scope. pick a nice big suppression map at night and your set to go from sniping to run n' gun. when you pick the gun, you can either have it bare as you see it or wisely add parts to it like a car for a better kill.

5. enhanced gameplay

its said they still trying to stuff in multi-player mode into the mix but reguarding the online play, you can choose spawn points for youself and others, hand out vehicles, use a more detailed radar to point out key objectives and unoccupied vehicles and increased sight distance; now you might sense then see the sniper instead of sense then dodging unknown shots or get a one-hit death. up to 32 players and they still might add even more to the game.

---------------------------
if all runs smoothly and get a little better, like adding melee attacks to the online mode, SOCOM III online will be the key for sony to get back on top of online gameplay, and knock xbox live AND, AND Halo 2 off the top of the hill.

release date is predicted to be october 19 this year. i smell dominance......
