I know most of what there is to know about Tekken story, strategy, and characters, so ask away whatever questions you may have about it, and I will give you the correct answer.

I also know about Tekken 5, which is coming out in just a week.

Sigh why does Heihachi have to die in Tekken 5 :( well i just hope he's still in the next tekken tag tournament series even though he's dead.

Hey we get jinpachi, heihachi's father. I thought heihachi was old but this guy must be really old.

ryzcvk
02-17-2005, 03:54 AM
Yea , he's also twice the size of Heihachi :omg:

It's good they revived some of the old fighters which i'm pretty good in such as baek ( hworang's mentor ) and bruce.

actually that man rising from the fire is NOT heihachi, but instead he is Heihachi's Father Jinpachi. And he is the true founder of the Mishima Zaibatsu. but his son Heihachi had betrayed him and imprisoned him, in a underground prison.
The explosion from the jacks, weaken the seal restraining him. Allowing Jinpachi to bust out free, and its him that host another "Iron fist tourny!"

Yeah they should make an attempt to put good musics in Tekken since the rest of em doesnt have. Just like DMC 3 ^^

does anyone know whats going to happen to jin does he transfor to like to a full demon or something.

He transforms into Devil Jin, as the Devil Gene takes control of his body. Regular Jin (T4 style), and Devil Jin (TTT style) are playable in T5.

Yea indeed.

Sigh why does Heihachi have to die in Tekken 5 :( well i just hope he's still in the next tekken tag tournament series even though he's dead.

Look here. (http://www.tekken-official.jp/tekken5/character/heihachi_e.html)

To the person who asked a question about King grappling moves, I don't really focus on multi-throws. King's best throw arguably is his GS (Giant Swing) (f,hcf+LP). It comes out in 8 frames (which is half as fast again as a normal throw), and it deals serious damage if the person fails to tech it when they hit the ground.

In T5, King has new air throw multi-throws. They can be escaped at each step, just like any other multi-throw, but if the person isn't good at getting out of them... death.

Tekken 5 has excellent music, except I don't really like the second part of the intro's music. Look here (http://www.tekken-official.jp/tekkenps2/movies/index_e.html) to see the opening movie... both parts of it.

im not really worried about, the music but i wonder what they did to tekken, everyone said that tekken 4 wasnt that great because it didnt revolutionize anything, so i wonder what they did to tekken 5 that wil make i stand apart from other fighting games.

MasterX05
02-20-2005, 06:27 PM
Wow looking at the ps2 intro to tekken5 I can see they took a diffent step by inputting a real song by a rockband. Never would have that Tekken mixing with rock but it looks nice.

Dan Hibiki

I hate the music, but I love the CG.

Tekken 4 changed a LOT of things, most of them for the worse.

That's not why good players hated T4. It was because of something called Just-Frame Laser Scraper. It was a glitch that allowed Jin to do his Laser Scraper (b,f+RP,LP,d+RP) and make the last hit unblockable and FAST. Unavoidable if the move hit. It did so much damage, and no other characters could deal that much.

Also, the game felt very different from other Tekken games, including the juggling system and the absolute crap that was wall infinites.

Most of these problems have been fixed for Tekken 5. The game feels great, the juggles are awesome, and walls aren't totally messed up for the most part like in Tekken 4.

yeah i remember that move it qas bs, i just hope they improved, some of the combo moves. it would be nice to see a little bit more combos, in my opinion in tekken 4, the combos werent really that great, my opinion. but will see in a few days, when it comes out.

alamgir
02-23-2005, 11:22 AM
Well you mustn;t have liked any of the combos in tekken, because tekken 4 has all the combos from previous games and more, although they seem easier to preform. Ahh theres only 2 days left and 5 comes out on PS2.

Check Gamefaqs.com for rants and raves.

Also, before anyone asks, Jinpachi is NOT playable. Unless you have an action replay/code breaker or something of the like.

MasterX05
02-25-2005, 08:55 PM
yeah the only one kind of character having to do more work to get is Devil Jin. And from what ive heard Jinpachi is a pain in the ass, and hard to beat. Becuz of his demon moves and stuff, many say they are glad he is not playable cuz he would be abused and cheap in human vs human plays.

Now with a half-full wallet, I went out and purchased Tekken 5 today! :) The cover has Jin in the center, Asuka Kazama at the right, and Raven at the left. Its opening movie is crisp and detailed, especially after Kazuya punches a Jack-5 during an attack and his metallic insides bust open.....I won't go into too much since that'll be ruining the experience. Story Mode is just like in Tekken 4, except there are more regular game engine scenes and movies. Arcade Mode is....quite different. First of all, you can get money from Arcade Mode and Tekken:Devil Within(explained later), to customize your characters appearance. That includes what they wear on there Head, Face, Body, 3 places on the body to chose different colors from, and a new costume. You also get to give yourself a name to use during Arcade Mode. If you've ever played Virtua Fighter 4 or Evolution, then you're going to be familiar with this mode. You start out as a beginner, then you can get promoted to a higher rank starting from 9th kyu to 1st dan and so on. You'll earn money along the way. I don't know how far the ranks go, or what you'll earn either, but i'm sure it's worth it. Time Attack is jus like Arcade Mode used to be, with a set number of stages and a timer running until you finish. Of course theres Vs Battle, Team Battle, Survival and Practice. Then, there is Tekken: Devil Within. It's a mode similar to the Tekken Force one on T4, but different. You can only play as Jin, as its mainly about him. After the Jacks attack, one of his father's labs were invaded. Jin goes in to try to find something to get rid of his demonic genes. You move with the right stick and change camera with the left, You can punch and kick, but not choose all the moves from your command list. Its sort of like a Rise to Honor fighting style: you can press punch repeatedly to do a combo, and mix that up with kicks to switch things up. Jacks and other robots will attack you, and you can choose which difficulty to start out with. Saving is also available. There are to meters: the Health Gauge and the Devil Gauge. Fill the Devil Gauge by fighting, and when its full, you can press L1+triangle to turn into Devil Jin. He is more powerful, but his health depletes in time. You can also jump, pretty high infact, and can earn force points which is reverted to money later on. Its a pretty good side quest when you want to do a little adventuring after getting beat by Jinpachi in Story Mode. lol.....Arcade History Mode has 4 games....StarBlade, and the arcade versions of Tekken 1, 2 and 3 available for play.....without the quarters of course. The Theater is where you listen to music or watch movies from the game and others after you've seen them. Customize mode is what I explained above. You can go into Progressive Mode with if your TV allows it. The graphics aren't too much of a step foward, but you can tell the difference. The stages were beatifully done. There is one stage that is during midnight, and you can see the moon in the sky, while your fighting in a bed of white flowers. Behind rocks is a sea. If someone hits the ground hard, the ground breaks where the person landed. It depends on the stage, like in the stage above, pedals break of from flowers, others money scatters, leaves float, glass shatters and rocks crumble. Its a really nice addition. Some characters look completely different, like Nina Williams and Ling Xiaoyu. Raven(male), an international intelligence agent, Asuka Kazama, a Japanese girl who was taught the Kazama Style Traditional Martial Arts style, and Feng Wei, a Chinese man who, through ambitious reasons, killed his master and seeks to perfect his style, are among the new characters. Unlockables aside from characters are probably present, so go for those as you play. There are more moves and combos even for older characters, as some moves float highter than they used to, and more crumbles are present. I think Tekken 5 is a decent game, and people who buy it won't be disappointed. :)
EDIT: I think that Tekken have also improved on the Musical Department as well. :D

Ha, thanks for appreciating my description people.:).....Devil Jin wasn't that hard to earn, I just completed the Tekken: Devil Within mode, and Devil Jin was unlocked. After you do it once, you can go back and find 8 red emblems hidden in all five, but interestingly lengthy levels. Each one is worth an item to dress someone with in the Customizing mode, usually the items that cost alot too, like normal Jin's Wings, and Heihachi's Celestial Robe. Asuka's ending was kinda funny, wouldn't think Jin would keep his face there THAT long, lol. Jinpachi is very cheap, as he can stun you for about 3-5 seconds in an instant, and follow up with his move that throws a fireball out of his stomach....which mysteriously has a mouth with very sharp teeth....(shrugs). I'd say Feng Wei is the "Akira" of Tekken 5, since he doesn't have many long combos, but his moves are full of very stong shoulder and elbow thrusts. The way the rain hits his face and water runs off him after he kills the master of his dojo in the opening scene was beautifully done. :) I'd say it was worth all the money I spent.

@ Hadokenman - I didnt get Devil Jin that way though , i got him by finishing at least almost all of the characters and suddenly he just appeared there. Its good they actually seperate Jin's old and new moves on diff.characters because if you notice the Devil Jin has the moves of Jin from Tekken 3 and Tekken Tag Tournament.

I had the game in my hand right.... and that was it. I visualized playing it, I even have a spot on my shelf for it, winning and gaining glory with Steve Fox once again crushing my foes with the flicker stance combos, but that dream ended, and reality came into play when the store announced they were closing in 2 minutes. *sigh*
I think I'll just wait for it to become a greatest hit title.
