Man dies of online forum overdose (http://publications.mediapost.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=Articles.showArticleHomePage&art_aid=29415)
It could happen to you....literally.
But yeah....not to poke fun at a person's death....but that's kinda pathetic.

I supplied the link. =)
"He felt under terrible pressure to be part of the online community," said his son, Lucian, who says he tried several times to get his father's attention and lure him away from the computer. "The only time he even looked up was when I told him I had seen Dane Madsen trying to steal his car out of the driveway."
This part was actually funny.

LMAO!! WOW. In this case, people will die if SFO went down for good. I have heard people skipped school before just to be on time to play their tournament matches. Sad really.

You guys are freakin' mean. And I don't believe Descartes would appreciate someone messing with his quote like that. Oh and did I mention you guys are mean?

i agree with elena, some of you really can't take life for what it is !
i know what the guy was all about, i am one of these, not 24/7 though and surely not ont he verge of stopping eating just to follow a discussion ! but to the point that if i am not coming here at least 1 time during the day i must take twice the time the next one !
fact is, the guy already had a problem, they were saying int he article that he replyed to everything that was coming his way. thus he was the kind of guy that like to have the last word, but what he lacked to comprehend was the fact that this was a forum not a live chat. thus having the last word is like impossible in this case ! and by not noticing that fact he died of it !
the only thing i can say to the wife and child is that the guy at least died happy !

Like really, I can't imagine what could have happened but I would only guess he would have gone crazy and done something extreme if the family were to take such "harsh" actions. (I am using the word 'harsh' very sarcastically)
What makes the whole thing sad is how he will be remembered by.

I feel sorry for the man. He was consumed by the online community. There's real-life communities like forums called "clubs". I guess he chose the online over real-life.
