2 movies that shouldnt of been made...SF...sad, very sad. Nobody even remotly resembles the character there supposed to be. But, MK was the better of these too...it was ok, but not no hollywood blockbuster..

SF = sucked hard, nothing in there was right ! but its understandable, it was made by someone who had never really played the sf games thus making the author one that didn't even knew what he was writing !

MK = at least the story was there like it was suppose to, the right story, the right characters. tho their intelligence was kinda, not even the same as int he game. example of KANO which was dumb, which in fact is a criminal mastermind in the game ! overall, good game, tho the moves were not really there, it was dark and creepy which the game is all about.

MKII = sucked right in the start. first they changed the author to someone else which vision of MK was more colorfull and special FX like in the game. but in a movie everyone knows that colors ruin the whole atmosphere, so basically the darkness of the first movie was the right thing to do, the second movie sucked because of this lack of darkness. also, the charcaters sucked even more, i think CHRISTOF LAMBERT was better suited for RAIDEN then the guy that made him in the second one. the wolrd was completely changed to something not even existing int he game itself and the story was taken from a game with no story at all (MKIII does not have a story) so basically they created a whole new MK which had nothing to do with the games we knew !

conclusion: this poll is sure to be won by MK !

SF characters were total messed up the only ppl who proply looked like the person is Chun-li and bison. I mean Van dam as Guile??? What the hell was they thinking. I saw no trademark moves Ryu and Ken were like just there in the movie they played no big part. only moves I saw from the game was M.Bison Pshyo Crusher and Guile flip up kick.
Back to the Characters, Vega was some spainsh guy. But in SF he was someone with long blonde hair and white skin. Ken had short hair, and Blanke looked like the sorry impression of the Hulk.

I say MK I saw the move before I even played the game and loved it, my mom loved it and she knows nothing about games.

HELL YES!!!!!! dahalism as a sceintist????? and what about guile's hair?? oh, and when ryu and ken did a hadoken against sagat (not good but better than most) it was a friggin flash... A FLASH!!!!


chun li was alright, blanka sucked, ken didnt have long hair, vega didnt look gay (he's supposed to look gay!!!) bison isn't supposed to be a 60 year old, ryu wasn't japanese (although he didnt look japanese in any game) dee jay.... PFFFT! that skinny guy was more like MC hammer!!! honda, looked alright, but was too mellow, charlie, NOT SUPPOSED TO BE BLANKA (how would they be in the same game at the same time???), about the only one that looked right was zangeif! (he was
suprisingly accurate!)

As for MK,
the people looked right, and played their roles well, the story was good (lu kang's brother getting killed by shang sung??? classic.) Kitana looks good, jonny kage kicked goro's ass,(NEVER mess up his $300 shades!) and scorpion and sub zero had excellent special effects!

HONDA & CHUNLI = REPORTERS ? what the flip ! first they don'T even know each other, second chunli is an interpole agent not a reporter, honda was ok as they say he was a sumo wrestler before, but he normally should have stayed sumo wrestling !

BLANKA = a fierce some beast, were was the fearsome int hat fliping story ? he really wasn't what he should have been !

CAMMY = since when is she a US AGENT with GUILE ? she is an MI6 agent that got mindwashed for the last 3 years ! and now work for bison as a mindless doll !

DEEJAY = a general ? seriously how low was that going down, he sure is funny like that. but he sure wasn't a general, more like a fighter that loves popularity !

ZANGIEF = stupid, sure not that much guys. he seemed like he was a 2 year old kid in a 30 year old body ! he really was far from being himself !

SAGAT = where's the muai thai champion ? he was nothing more then a manager that didn't even knew how to fight !

BALROG = if i can remember where he was int he movie i could tell you, since i don't remember that means he sure didn'T have much of a role in there !

BISON = he got his powers after guile kicked his butt, sorry he sure was far from what he should have been. he seemed like a stupid man that had a dream of conquering the world where he should have been the kind of man, not fearing anyone even those who kick his butt, his powers he always had and he doesn't dream of conquering the world, he HAS the world already (well in a way) !

VEGA = spanish yes, but he is suppose to be a brutal assassin, not the fighter working for sagat that shut his mouth and don't say a thing just waiting for a fight ! he sure was a big disappointment compared to what he is in the animated movie or in the game itself !

GUILE = no comments, was good seeing someone like van damme doing him, but sure really didn't even knew how guile was suppose to be ! the hairs were not there. the moves weren'T there and the attitude wasn't tthere ! can it go even lower then that ?

:shocked: Cammy, DeeJay, and Dhalsim were in this?? Its been a long time since I seen it and back then didnt know alot about SF as I do now. But seeing this makes it worser the geeky guy was Dhalsim who helped create Blanka what the hell. DeeJay the guy who played him (cant remember his name) was decent but the hair was wrong and the postion he played in. Good thing it was only SF if it was SF Aphla there would be so many screw up's. Oh and yeah Karma Balrog was with Chun-li and Honda even though in the game he would never side with Chun-li and T hawk I believe was the other army dude with Guile and Cammy.

:laugh: :laugh: :laugh: OMG you actually comparing one of the GREATEST Video-Game-Based Movie SERIES(MK) to some jerk off half shot, kid scripted version of "Street Fighter" the move? I seen 20mins of the "StreetFighter" movie on VHS a longgggggg time ago and thought I was watching. Another sequel to "BloodSport" only untill I saw some guy in a RED JUMP SUIT named Bison. Did I figure out it was a REALLLLLY POOR movie based on the video game "StreetFighter".

the streetdfighter movie did indeed suck. i expected much more from my favorite game series of all time. and yes karma, id have to agree with u abou the characters. nothin was flipin right.

i have seen both mortal kombat and mortal kombat annihilation
and i have to say they didnt suck but they werent amazing. they were average. the two didnt have all the characters i would of liked to see but it was good. they had the main people, like shao kain,lue kang,scorpion,sub zero,jax,johnny cage,sonya, and raiden.

neither mortal kombat nor streetfighter were brilliant but mortal kombat definitly owned streetfighter when it comes to the movies.

otherwise the movie was pretty accurate and true to the game, which makes it one of the few who actually was worth the money to see it on the big screen !

heck MORTAL KOMBAT was better then FINAL FANTASY which shouldn't have been called that way in the first place ! the second movie they tryed to make it even more flashy, they based themselves on the third game which had actually no story, or barely having a story, so that's why it was ruined !

so basically MORTAL KOMBAT was above average !

STORY = GREAT
CHARACTERS = GREAT PLAY and 100% accurate, except perhaps for sonia and kano style and attitude !
MUSIC = perfect !
AMBIENCE = perfect fit ! the games are dark and creepy, so was the movie !

LACKING = special moves ! other then those unreal creatures such as scorpion and sub zero, they didn't have any specials. but its understandable, adding some would probably have ruined the movie !

i liked lambert in the role of raiden, it was a perfect fit, great attitude, great spirit, great play. same for liu kang, johnny cage which actually got me into the character even more, because i hated him before the movie, i loved him after seeing him live like that !

all this just to tell you that after seeing that movie i was even more in the mood for my MKII game !

lets say the MK movie is one of the few who actually were greatly made and true to the games !

double dragon and wing commander blew chunks, which was sad cause they are sweet games, another movie that sucked was the super mario brothers movie not sure if people have seen that.

The movie da vipa was talking about is called city hunter i have it on my laptop, i think that movie is based on a cartoon not to sure though.
