... alright... 1.3 just went live...

none of the "major" bugs have yet been fixed from the last release (that is, i'm still having problems tracking down the "wins count as losses" issue) ... but... we are slowly "getting there"... so.. just hang in there for now :biggrin:

also... in the last minute, i noticed a weird problem with this version as well... i wasn't able to do the 45 degree Air-Haduken with Sakura until .. some 10+ seconds into the round... (or sometimes she wouldn't do it at all... until i did the 45 degree fireball on the ground.. then got back into the air to "dish out the justice" )

... post u'r thoughts (they should help me track down the bugs metioned above.. and fix them in the next version of the game) :biggrin:

yeah i was playing with her too and that happened and ur rank 31... but so far that is the only bug i noticed...:biggrin:

i think that there is only one option left.... if we download the file from the web version, it would be the same character file as the one from the downloaded version, fixing the bug.... or you can just use the web version...

Analysis on Sakura

Please note, these are not necessarily bad things, i'm just pointed out things i've found out upon playing as Sakura.

Sakura's Shouoken (down, forward + P) can cut through Cyclop's Optic Blast just like Cyclop's Optic Blast can cut through Hadokens and other projectiles.

Sakura's Shouoken acts like a super against Wolverine, i.e heals him when he blocks. Also seems to heal other characters when they block, but only a little.

When playing with Sakura and Ken in Tag, when you want to tag Ken in, Sakura leaves the screen for about 5 secs before Ken jumps in. Not sure if it was a one-off and if it happens with other tag combinations. EDIT: This happens with all Sakura + ?? Tag combinations.

Yeah she seems to get stuck when u do the air hadoken from time to time, or when you do the rage on level 2 sometimes she stalls too long to return to fighting leaving you vulnerable for attacks.

... it was 7 am... and for some odd reason i forgot to post the link to cSakura.cct on the page... plus, both nosoul and nferno were way too tired to catch that.... (problem fixed now)

Slipmatt001: the Logan healing thing should still only happen in Story Mode (so that's not a huge deal) ... i'll look into the rest of the possible "issues" you posted though...

Sakura's Shouoken - Yes, i think that need to be changed. Like, limit the force of attack it affects against the oppt, because when i fight with sakura v sakura the oppt is doin that attack the whole game...literally. My oppnion is that you should limit it during a fight; you can only do it so many times you want like how super jumps are locked sometimes after you do it many times, or it can be cancelled by another attack, a regular attack and not a super. People take the fun out ofusing her when they keep on doin that attack and it ruins the fun sadly. I think thats the only thing that should be changed with sakura, other than that.. shes AWESOME!!!.. :)

I notice on the choosing screen when u move up to select Sakura somtime the outline thing will land on magneto when u move up to her.

The only problem ive encountered so far is the super fireball which disconnects from ryu and hits you in the air, so all you can see basically is a cut scene with his hands shooting at you, while you are up in the air.

And of course the usuall pain of not being able to block.

P.S dont you think sakura is suped up to much with that dash???, i personally think it needs to be toned down, well at least think about the wolverine users, maybe you can make it so that the drill claw cancels the dash.

this is wut i posted in SBYRD's post so ill post it here 2

u ppl whine 2 much... obviously u dunt see the weakness in sakura... how slow she is duh... after she does the dfp(down forward punch) she like stops and does that tripping thing where she leans back and flaps ehr arms... thats enuff time to atk her.... the thing is sakuras moves are slow the only tweak i suggest is if sum1 blocks against... the dfp, then they shouldnt get damage... and also i dunt like if 2 sakuras do the move... the one that did it later does the hitting... it should b that they both get hit and fall back... but her dfp is kickass... she should b left alone dunt make her weaker cuz i think shes the tool for cheapasses... i tested sakura against all fighters... she can block go through all projectile moves except supers.... she can stop all wolvies moves... she can stop spideys maximum spider... she can stop the bison psycho crusher... she can stop kens shinryuken(vertical fire and only if it hits ken himself) she can stop chunli's big bang super(only if she jus gets it started) but ppl should take advantage of her slowness and and the time it takes her to atk again... best move you can do is projectile supers and super jump or teleport behind her....
ONLY suggested tweaks:
1. when blocking her dfp... no damage should be done... this includes blocking in mid-air
2. if 2 sakuras do the dfp against each other... both sakuras should get hit...

otherwise lil sakura is jus doin well with the big boys... u jus need to learn how to beat her.

and to enlighten u guys... sakura isnt cheap... the person using it is... ryu excessively doing hadouken is being cheap... ken down hadouken and dragon punch all the time is cheap... excessive use of spiderkick and spider web is cheap... rocket punch and plasma thongy is cheap as well as sentinel force... bison sliding kick and psycho field is cheap... chunlis lightning kick is cheap(cant get out of it)... wolverines drill claw leg sweep and berseker barrage is cheap and sliding kick can be too... cyclops optic cannon and optic blast and optic sweep combo is cheap... and the symbiote byte is cheap... so before u call sakura cheap look at what else can be cheap if that move is done repeatedly.
***dfp= shouken... jus realized its name.

ok im not trying to be a pain but for u just to know or at least my opinion

the tornado kick itravels more than the tornado kick from the other shoto's
-her hadokens are way to big even though its good against spiderman and his cheap web ball
-her running sheild thing is virtually unstoppable and this is reason for most cheapness it should at least be stopped with a special
-her hadoken ariel special should be smaller cause its basiclly copying akuma aerial special it only changed the size of the hadokens
-her lvl 2 rd does almost the same damage as ken's rd which is the most powerful raging demon next to bison's
-whats with the corny music...I've heard better tunes in elevators
-they should have made sakuras hadoken system like ken's which disappears after a while
-also 1 small thing...if youhave the downloadable game if younotice u dnt see a tab or bar in the bottom ofure screen saying the window is open

- You cannot expect her moves to be the exact same as the other shotos. Even though they all have the same set of moves, they all have their peculiarities. That's hers... and if you ever play any of the game "mother games" for SFO, you'd notice that hers is a bit different. So SFO follows suit in it's own ways.

- um, that's the way it is supposed to be. Ever played any of the tag games with Sakura?? It IS that size. However, what we'll be working on in the next version would be to reduce its power and tenacity. The size would remain the same though... and what's with the "cheap spidey webball"... why don't you call Ryu's hadouken or Cyclops' optic blast??

- We've heard about a thousand and one complaints on this.. and don't worry, a patched version would be going out soon (I'd say 48 hours from now) that would change that :biggrin:

- Once again, that's the way it is supposed to be. It isn't "exaclty" the same, but they do have their similarities.

- Again, the power of her moves would be tweaked... never fear. However, know one thing that Dark Sakura does have a bit of edge over Evil ryu in some of the moves she does.

- Corny music?? One man's meat is another man's poison. The music you call corny, might be liked by others who play the game... and one more thing, you know you don't have to put on the music to play the game. If you don't like it, might as well shut it off.

- Sakura's hadoukens does disappear but it has more range than that of Ken... and since the game engine doesn't counter for that range, it's close to impossible to add that feature, or it'll basically look like that of Ken

- Downloadable version?? I'll look into that when I get a copy for myself :biggrin:

I just saw the coolest thing but it was too late for me to grab a ss of it when it happend. I think this is just a slight bug that might have happend. On sakuras Shinku Hadouken my opponent did it but ended up facin the wrong direction, and then she started to let out fireballs ( Tenma Gou-Zankuu ) like she was evil ryu or akuma. I was wonderin wheather this was a once in a life time thing ???

ok i guess blanka was right aout what he said about sakura...
i went to arcade yesterday and was playing marve| vs capcom and guess who i chose...



no not gambit but u where close



IT WAS SAKURA

and for some odd reason but all the moves for the sakura moves in sfo u can do in arcade machines...

but for only some difrences in damage since her special hadokens do alot less damage if younoticed

and for the basic moves like the tornado kick which it is suppose to be fast...

P.S. when I went into story mode once i coudnt choose which story to play...it came out like the that firely background saying something about someone that is hunting down the LAST FIVE warriors

well sakuras shinku hadouken wether aerial or not does less damage and its a bit annoying cuz it fools ppl and sumtimes urself 2... the damage dowsnt go through all the fireball... wut i mean is that once i did and aerial super and it pretty much covere the ground... my opponent was standing not blocking... and the fireball shot above him... yet he did not get hit but the picture shows that the fireball picture overlapped my opponent... iunno if youunderstand wut im saying but basically the hadouken and shink hadouken does not cover that much screen as the picture shows... and supers do less damage too except raging demon.. he warp goes longer tho then akumas.

Sakuras bulldozer move is to cheap i think it needs to get fixed and the most cheapest of all is the cheap venom helper that still exist in the game. It would be really cool if the venom helper can be fixed soon. :)

Heres things that needs to be fixed or added...

-Increase the recovery time after Sakura does a hadoken so she can't go crazy with them.
-Increase the recovery time of Sakura's shouryuken (dash attack) by 2 sec. so the cheapness will end.
-Decrease Sakura's Shinkuu Hadoken super to only 2 lines of her hadoukens going straight up at a 45 degree angle.
-Decrease the damage of Sakura's Shun-Goku-Satsu (Raging Demon) super to only 30% damage (1/2 of the normal damage and 10% less then a level RD from Akuma).
-Slow down the travel speeds of her hadokens
- Reduce the damage produced by her shouryuken (dash attack) by 50%
- Remove the her Ryu-Shouryuken since her true Shouryuken is the dash attack. I mean Jesus Christ, she actually says "SHOURYUKEN" while doing it. =/
-Allow her aerial Shinkuu Hadouken to be available to only VIPs.
-Add her Hurricane Kick super to replace the aerial Shinkuu Hadouken for normal players.

Thats pretty much it...

@EvilBastard: No, you weren't playing marve| vs. Capcom. You were either playing marve| Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter or marve| vs. Capcom 2.

well... i couldnt help but notice that almsot all or at least half of wut u said there was decreasing sakuras strength... only thing that needs t ob dealt with is the shougen(dash) and id suggest that everytime sum1 does the move they dunt gain energy but loose it instead... once they get less then 50% energy at level 0 then they cant use the move... this would als ob usefull to reduce her getting levels so fast so ppl will get a sting from using that move... all her other moves are ok... i have noticed something really annoying lately... ive posted this b4 but it happends not jus with onslauught but others 2... at one point rarely it doesnt do damage... the dash and the shungokusatsu... at it happens in story mode 2... which would have no lag... there are alot of ppl ive encouonterd that can beat sakura... some learnt to fight quite well with her using the dash but others dunt have that much skill. and stop trying to make her a shoto... she has her own style dunt give her the super hurricane and all that shoto crap... she has her moves a bit like shoto but cmon ur pushing it...
