Characters that arent allowed in tourneys - A good or bad idea

ive been on this forum a while. and i know there are some intellengent people out here. so im gonna start a convo. do yall think its a good or bad idea to not allow certain characters in tourneys. this has been on my chest for a while. i think its a bad idea because all characters have their strengths and weaknesses. for example i see tourneys where cyc, spidey, sent, and evil ryu arent allowed. there are even some where wolvie isnt allowed. now this just pisses me off because all the host of the tourney is doin is handicapin the people to his advantage. now think about it like this. there may be an excellent spidey user in the game that isnt cheap or anything. he just has raw skillz. but he cant join any of the tourneys just because peoples ignorance toward that character. that means he has to use a character in that tourney that he isnt the best with cause spidey is his best character. now this just pisses me off because i see so many tourneys now and days where certain characters arent allowed. if they think they have all the skillz in these tourneys then they should handle any opponent and character, not just 2 or 3. that really shows you how good they are. because you need to adapt to all of the characters fighting style in order to win matches against them. not run away from them.


anywho im tired of typin for now. tell me what u guys think about this subject. cause id like to know

I think that all characters should be allowed in tournaments...why would you not allow one? Because you wanna win, and cant beat a certain character? Or is it that you think a character is cheap?...Well if its like that, I think all characters should be allowed and those who fight unfairly should be disqualified...That way a person who is good with one character can try and win the whole tournament with the character they are best with.

Yes But The Person Hosting The Tounry Shouldnt Be In It, And Everyone Knows There Are No Excellent Cyc, Users, And If There Were He'd Have To Be An Excellent All Arounder, Now I Can Understand A Skilled Spidey User, But Instead Of Complaining About It Why Dont You Just Go Along With It, Cause In Prolly About A Million Years Someone Will Say "Hey I Think Ill Put In Everyone" But Intill Then Just Stop Complaining.

i think they should all be allowed in tournaments but the reason y some aren't allowed in is that people seem to have gotten this stupid idea into their heads that ryu is the only good and non cheap character in the game yet he can still be beaten by any othe character especially cyclops so in order to make themselves feel better they just constantly say that the other characters are cheap even though they aren't (and that includes cyclops because he is only cheap when ##### use him)

If you're banning characters, you might as well ban all of them, or call it "the character tournament", other tha that, there would be no point in making a tournament.

Ryu is cheap because of his hadoukens
Wolverine is cheap because of his drill claws
Chunli is cheap because of her lightning kicks
Sentinel is cheap because of his beam
Cyclops is cheap because of his optic blasts
Spider Man is cheap because of his spider kick


Everyone is cheap, deal with it, I'm tired of saying that this player should be DQed because he went cheap on me, if he used one of those moves, its not being cheap, its repetitive strategy.

I think you guys said everything that needed to be said. No character should be prohibited from entering a tourny becauase of what is thought about the character. Only time you can do that is if your doing a one character tourny. The word ''cheap'' is used in soo many ways these days.A Spidy user is always considerd cheap if you get beat with him, thats just how most ppl think.

If a user does the same move over and over then yes he is being cheap. He is showing he has no skill and therefor is a noob, but you can deal with it. Just dont fight the person again. As long as you know they could only win by cheating then you should be ok. If you want a fight agianst some good users then go against the vets, they'll gladly fight you and even give you help at the end.

Remember its just a fight and you'll have other ones. :D
