Game freezes - Been a problem before

Ok I dont know why but it seems that every little second since I start up the (mirror) game it freezes.. even the downloadable version...

I am not sure if this is one of its requirements but one thing I do not have installed on my computer is my soundcard because i cant set it up... but i am buying one i think tommorow..

let say when i start the game... it says winners dont do drugs... then i press enter... and it freezes... then the screen turns grey... and stays frozen for like 5 secs... then it says game login.. freezes.. i click to type my name... then freezes.. i type in my login password and press ok... freezes... then so on and so forth...

SOMEONE HELP ME!! PLEASE!!! I GOT SHOCKWAVE 8.5... INTERNET BROWSER 6.0.. 256 RAM... 56K INTERNET... no soundcard installed..

Try cleaning your cache and that might work.

Umm... you should try re-installing Shockwave 8.5( go to http://www.streetfighteronline.com/download.htm to install again) or cleaning ur' cache..

Cleaning ur cache
1: tools>Internet Options
2: press the "delete files" button..
3: a menu should appear about "delete all offline content".. check the box.. then hit OK
4: u'r done :biggrin:


There are some problems with this "winners dont' cheat thing".. it has been posted in the SFO11d bug report thread... im' sure TMyApp will look into A.S.A.P. :biggrin:

Check if all your downloaded files for sfo are in the same directory, the game usally freezes when theres files missing.

Ok this is obviously a problem with my sound card. Since it is not installed will not work. I am going to get a new soundcard and will see where i can get from there.. i did everything on the list... when i redownloaded the game the game was working perfect for like 20 seconds.. no freezes... then it started freezing again... i guess i do have to have my sound card installed.. but thats not a problem ill just buy a new soundcard

yep.. sounds like the lack of sound card problem...

although, i just remembered that i have tried SFO on a p500 machine with no sound, and it ran just fine...

hmm.. it is most likely got to be the soundcard.. first.. because i formatted absolutely everything on my computer.. now it is running on its original operating system.. Windows Me.. so that means I got nothing wrong with my computer.. the modem was installed right.. the internet was installed right.. everything is downloading good.. the only thing that my computer doesnt install is my old sound card...

One problem I will always have ony my computer is that I got 2 sound cards installed. One from Crystal Semiconductors and the other from SoundMAX.. so it might be conflicting.. reason why i got 2 sound cards???? the programmer who i let touched my pc to fix it is an idiot..

so besides that my computer has no issues.. no errors... no bugs.. shockwave cant be an issue... because it always ran great on this computer... so the only issue is the soundcard..

I'll get back on this topic when I install the soundcard to tell you guys if the game works or not.. If it does work, you will have to add Soundcard installed in your requirement list to play the game...

(note: i have already tried uninstalling one and installing the other.. it doesnt work.. even if i pull them out of their slots)

yo that happen to me when i had to fix my comp man it turn grey and froze u know what that is u have spyware on ur comp download adware 7.0 http://www.majorgeeks.com/downloa....993fc0f (http://www.majorgeeks.com/downloadget.php?id=506&file=9&evp=8dbaff7daca8f4b55bf695220993fc0f) (to take offur spyware) and then go to www.pandasoftware.com (to scan ur comp its fast it also delete the virus)
