Max spider - Unstopable?

ok now this is really just starting to piss me off. every time i fight spidy and he does the max. spider in the air, i cant block the move, the only way to stop him is to hit him with a fireball befor he moves. even if i block his first kick he still hits me then keeps hitting me up in to the air and i still cant block. is this spose to happen? if so can some one tell me how to beat him with out relying on luck. :angry:

oh one more thing i mentioned this in another forum but my game will still not save even after cleaning all my files. also do the win have to be consecutive? if not then i serious have an issue because i have defenitly won more that 5 wins, and those were consecutive!
