Debate. - Is the pope, god's messenge?

It's been a while, since we held a "debate" on this forum. This debate involves the claiming of the Roman Catholic Church, "claiming" that the Pope is God's messenger. Do you think that God sent/left a pope to be his messenger? If "Yes" or "No", please provide some good solid evidence and a good intelligent responses to back up your case. :biggrin:

This topic implies to everyone and not just "christians", you don't have to believe in God's existance to take part in this debate. Anyways, If anyone of you has another "interesting" topic on matters we could debate on, then please feel free to create a new topic, and I will simply delete this one...., it's been a while since debates were "held", no..?!? :biggrin:

how many times will we tell you guys that reliion isn't a good topic around here !

there is too much people believing in too much different things around here. that's why debates with religious content have been a faillure ever since we openned. so i suggest this to not go too far. we wouldn't want a flaming war between who's right or not do we ?

what can be sure in a world where the humans have created everything around them ?
the only thing i am sure of is that the human race will end up killing itself.
but isn't what mother natures ask of us ?

people need to believe in something... thus they created a kind of god in which to believe.
those who believe in that only fear to stop living.
when i will die, i think there will be nothing left of me, i just won't be anymore and that's all !

I see that most of you have failed to grasp that this topic is NOT about having a belief in a God or gods, but I do see your point. :biggrin:
