Help keylogger - I may have gotten a keylogger

How can i check to see if i have a keylogger in my computer?

:laugh: Hmmm someone is tracking your every keystoke heh funny. Anyhow pretty simple to detect a keylogger program.

1. Press ctrl + alt + delete see what programs are currently running. If you're unsure what program something is then its probably the keylogger so just end task it to stop it from running.

2.Click on start then run then type in msconfig. Then click on startup then see what programs you are running at start-up possibly you can find the keylogger program here and stop it from running at start-up.

3.Ah ok or try this one. Scan your harddisk for files continually updating. See a Keylogger will continually update because it tracks and records every keystroke you make. If you find these files just delete them.

4.K and easiest way just download a Keylogger detection program. Should find one on www.downloads.com just search for "Keylogger detection program". Run it and should find the keylogger if one is on your harddrive.

5.If that doesnt work you can always download a Spybot program run it. Then it should find the keylogger since it is "spyware".
