Tis true, very very true. In my opinion, i think nintendo lost their touch! They cant make a good decent game anymore. And on the other hand theres Sega, with even more original games like billy hatcher! So i vote sega..

What are you guys talking about? Nintendo is muc better. Sega is done for....their last system was the Dreamcast thats why they sold nintendo there stuff like Sonic and Billy the hatcher.

That's Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg, and Dreamcast is a good system. It had great games, like Psychic Force 2012, MvC2, SFA3 (special version that allowed the dramatic battles), Resident Evil: Code Veronica, Sonic Adventure, etc. Whether it was their last system or not, Sega is still making games. Their next sonic game, Sonic Heroes, seems to be a step above the past Sonic games. Search and find out for yourself about it.

...but nintendo does have their own style and way of doing things. And as soon as I figure out what that style is, I'll come back to you on that. For now.. I'll stick with Sega.

second that doesn't mean they are out fo the games competition which is highly volatile in itself !

third, nintendo doesn't sucks now a days, they are still one of th ebest company evere to produce games, its also the only company in the NEW CONSOLE market that has more then 15 years of existence.

fourth, sega makes great games, they had a very good console (dreamcast) which people seemed to overlook just because of the PS2 which basically does the very same as the dreamcast !

SONIC TEAM is still a departement of the sega company.
nintendo justr happen to be the only one to actually buy rights to remake DC games like PHANTASY STAR ONLINE for GAMECUBE and IKARUGA as well as the SONIC GAMES ! that's all.

on their web site, sega tells it straight to the people. they sell their games for all 3 consoles, not just one, all three including the computers which brings that umber to 4 type of machine !

so i don't know why you say the war still goes on, cause its far from going on, the war between those two companies ended with the arrival of SONY !

may i also suggest you don't say nintendo sucks cause of their games, cause mainly the nin games aren't made by nintendo themselves ! there's so few games that are nintendo made in this, so don't place the blame ont hem for that, same goes for sega.

I would say nintendo is better, it doesn't suck think about all the new consoles like the gamecube and gameboy advance, its pretty much caning it. Sega on the other hand was through with consoles after the dreamcast, there werent enough sales and you can hardly find games on it any more. Sega does make good games but only for the three leading companys at the moment, Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo.

their was the SATURN which was awesome, FIGHTING VIPERS all the way ! RPGs here and there, the great PANZER DRAGOON that is so waited for XBOX has started on it and was/is one of the best game ever ! really, sega gave everything they got, but somehow people just because sony made a few comercials where sega didn't, they got all the attention and all their consoles got shut down.

the dreamcast is awesome as well, i have one and i like it so much, i will never trade/sell it ! (mainly because i never resell what i bought)

technically speaking, sega gave everything they've got but really people are too stupid to see the true power of the company. its like saying ATARI is the worst company ever ! its completely false, atari still brings us a lot of good games, tho it became part of the HASBRO company now ! or is it the other way around ?

anyway, sega made good consoles, its just that no one ever given them the credits they deserved !

as for games for dreamcast, you know why its not possible to find games for it ? because its discontinued dude ! there is no more shipping places for games, and if you go on EBAY you'll see that one game can become a very high priced thing !

Both..cuz i like games from both developers..funny when i was small i HATED SEGA!!!!! lol...i loved mario..and anything nintendo..but yea i like wat roll and karma sed...no need to explain..now i like everything...to me it dosent make sence to dislike one or the other cuz they both make pretty good games..*cant get enough of mario kart* panzer dragoon orta..sega gt 2002...sonic adventure 1 and 2...i own a xbox and gamecube so im happy!

Well from the ways I sees it, this is about Nintendo, NES..and Sega..Genesis. I use those systems because everything else after genesis as sucked..last good nintendo thing was N64..but whatever. I have always seen Nintendo to have much better games then any Sega console..the only good thing sega had was sonic..and that can only get you so far.

contrary to what you believe nintendo failed the market with their N64 !
too late on games and technology compared tot he sony PSOne !
the dreamcast sold aound twice the number of N64 in one week-end then nintendo in two weeks with their N64 !
same for sony, why the console got so dramatised, mainly cause of the lack of games at the start. (i know its ridiculous, but people seems to think that ten games on launch day isn't enough to start a console !)

really, the games weren't the problem for any of the sega consoles !
it was mainly due to lack of interest and lack of programming capabilities ! the SATURN defeated all record as to be the most difficult system to develop for ! mainly due to its two GPU CPUs. but that didn't stop sega from making a big success out of the first console to ever get on internet with a 28.8 modem !

serisouly, i never really understood why sega got shut down by sony that way. sony never really had any console worth mentionning. sure the psx was good, but the DC was way better, so why has everyone got their DC, sold it to buy back their PSX ? that was a stupid move, tho sega should have advertised even more !

don't know what you played dude, but seriouslky none of the consoles i've seen up to now was stupid, maybe the very 64bit console called JAGUAR, but still some games there were damn good !

Well if I had to vote I'd have to go waaaay back to '94.
I was 8 years old and my dad bought me my first nintendo for my birthday. I was immediately hooked on Super Mario World which I still play today just because its such a classic. Then I'd have to go back to the same year and remember how I played a Sega Genesis at my friends house for the first time. We played Sonic 2 which had a 2 player feature where you and your friend can go beat levels at the same time(one being sonic, one being milestails). To tell you the truth, the game Sonic owned super mario world in my opinion, with all the running and speed and intensity it owned mario world easily. The thing is though Nintendo made alot better games: Killer Instinct(Rare), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters(Konami), Donkey Kong1,2,3(Nintendo), Mortal Kombat 1,2,3(Midway) dont get me wrong these are just my childhood alltime favorites. But back then I looked at Sega as a "copycat" towards nintendo. They did copy allot of the games and the graphics didn't come out nearly as good as nintendos graphics. But in today's competition Sega in my opinion puts the nintendo Gamecube, and sony ps2 at shame. Just look at the fact that it was made waaaay before ps2 and gamecube. I can't brag that its beating the Xbox because it really isn't. I mean marve| vs capcom 2 came out to dreamcast way before it came to the ps2. I have a ps2,ps1,dreamcast and gamecube currently, but my favorite is still the dreamcast.
So its a tough call......

You guys, there is not one person in this forum that does not know the classic Mushroom Kingdom song. Nintendo has alot of classic games (Metroids, Kirby Superstar, Super Mario All-Star) and has come up with clever ways to bring back their classic games and characters (hence the game Super Smash Bros Melee and the SNES games remakes on GBA) and has made games that are fun for everybody, not just teens or adults (you don't know how many times me and a bunch of friends played Mario Party for hours, that's a fun game) Nintendo is a classic, a classic that can't be replaced with these rookies console like Playstation and Xbox (I mean, Playstation was made by a radio company anyway, LOL) :laughlong: and if you don't believe me, Play Wind Waker or Wario World and see how much quality gameplay Nintendo has continued (and will continue) to make.

The playstation isn't a rookie console! Who said anything about replacing it with anything its not like some of the best games didn't come out on playstation. When play station first came out all the other consoles were shadowed by it. The dreamcast cam out later but then came the ps2, xbox and gamecube, and sony a radio company? You call a computer a radio. And ken-po just becos games come out a long time ago it doesn't mean they were better, thats just an excuse. Anyway nuff said in this topic, in the end games were created for the sheer purpose of having fun and being entertained not to argue and compare. that's just false dude, i'll show you SEIKEN DENSETSU 3 for the SNES and believe me, that game beats almost all other RPGS ont he playstations or even the 64 ! i'll go even deeper, it beats games from all 3 next gen consoles !

its the last console actually, xbox comes out first followed by nintendo then sony ! stay true kid, most games that are on PS2 can be easily recreated for any of the two other consoles, but you'll never see halo or any other xbox games be created for PS2, the consoles too weak to process them at full capacity !

really all consoles have their pros and cons, all consoles have their great games, so no console deserves to get bashed at ! i would buy a PS2 because of its controller and some games only for it. i would buy a GC for its games that are only for it. but i would buy an xbox, just because its the one that gives us a future.

SEGA GENESIS vs SUPER FAMICOM (snes)
both had their own rules, you can't compare them both, they were both excellant bringing their own rules to this day !

the SNES was less powerfull CPU wise, but a lot more powerfull graphic wise !
which made th econsole number one for adventure and RPG games.

the genesis, was a lot more powerfull SPEED wise then graphically.
which brought us great action packed games and very good racing games !

overall, back then nintendo and sega brought us the enternement we needed. today, the consoles aren't for entertainments. their your lifes as they say it !

really who would want to buy a console that only plays games 399$ ? i sure don't, i'm not fool enough to buy games 40+ dollars for my pleasure, nor am i ready to pay 300+ doillars just to get a few hours of fun everyday !

i have a coputer that's all i needed to have my fun, other then that, i got friends, they don't come often, but when they come, we play outside and forget about all this.

I never liked nintendo that much....An I really don't think the Gamecube is competing as much with Ps2 or XBox. The gamecube now......its more ment for younger kids I think and not teens. Xbox and Ps2 have games like halo and Grand Theft Auto that you wont find on gamecube. Sure theres a couple like resident evil but...mostly games like wario world....you know, E for Everyone. I never had a problem with any of the sega systems I've played. Plus I like the games they're still making, like the ESPN sport games series. I'll vote Sega.

people gotta think of it, how many buttons are used to play an ELMO game ? really try that, bring crash bandicoot to your 6 year old brother and ask him to play, believe me, he will have so much troublkes playing that its gonna make you laught very hard, serousouly, consoles aren't for children anymore, not ever since they got so much buttons on the gamepad !

Remember, everyone, you can't take a look at a video game title, and label the system that plays it. You've got to look at all the games, how they play, what they offer, and how easy it is to play it. Then look at finer points, like Sound, picture quality, etc. Then, finally, look at the system itself, and look at all of it's quality points. After doing all of that, you can see that each system outclasses another system in some areas, and in the case of Xbox, Gamecube, and PS2, the systems each have a different good point. Depending on a persons tastes, they may choose one of these three.

Btw, don't let rumors sway your judgement. Take a look at IGN, for instance. They kept insulting Billy Hatcher, and I didn't care, and I bought the game. Now I play it everyday, and it is really very much fun. I would recommend trying the games Multiplayer mode with a few friends. You'll see how fun it is.

anyway... the newer systems aren't that bad. its true that many company now a days can't bring us the joy of playing a whole new addictive games now a days, they rather take already existing engines and just change a few things in there to release a supposed new games. but there are new games that deserves to be reconized as they are !
