The Federal Aviation Administration proposed on Thursday to amend its regulations to ensure that it can enforce a law that prohibits "obtrusive" advertising in zero gravity.
"Objects placed in orbit, if large enough, could be seen by people around the world for long periods of time," the FAA said in a regulatory filing.

lmao what is funny is that they were actually considering it. Seriously, that would be so cool if we can have that. It would be like the beggining of The Jetsons. At the same time, you would have to think howbig these billboards would be and how close to the planet it would be placed. Plus, how much light would it have for it can be strong enough for everyone to see with their eyes. Seriously, will this light power be stronger than the moon? Are there any risks of any of these billboards to fall into the atmosphere?

I don't think they should do that. Why else would we have the REGULAR billboards. It seems like a waste of time, furthermore, it would cost ALOT of money getting it up there, keeping it in orbit (if it's gonna be visible for a specific part of the world). As well as, all the companies that would want to have their ads in space.
I just plain don't like it.

Last I checked, the FAA didn't own space, and thusly has no right to regulate it.
