Anime fans, feast your eyes on one of the single most-popular anime series of all time! At the time of this post, it is 100% legal to download the fansubbed episodes because nobody has picked it up in America yet. If it has been picked up, please correct me, but to my knowledge it hasn't been.
If you have a BitTorrent client program, you can download the first 51 episodes of this beyond exceptional series from this site (http://a.scarywater.net/naruto/). www.suprnova.org has various other ones in its anime section, and once again you need a BitTorrent client to download them.
It is easily one of the deepest, most action-packed, best-animated, and all-around amazing anime shows to come in a long time. It makes DBZ look like nothing but a 4-year-old's show. You'll be dreaming of Kage Bunshin no Jyutsu after just the first episode.
WATCH IT!

i will have to educate myself by seeing a few pictures of it first... but for now there is not much who actually beats STREET FIGHTER II THE ANIMATED MOVIE for now !
DBZ, well not hard to defeat !
yet i still say DBZ had his glory and still has, there are episodes who still are whacked to see !
anyway... i'll look into it, i like animes !
PS: BIT TORRENT really isn't for cable users with UPLOADS LIMIT !
you'll break that limit way too fast !

www.toriyamaworld.com has a few images up of it. They're the people who have fansubbed those episodes I gave you.
Dragonball Z stinks. It really does. It is almost nothing but mindless battles with one or two real things that make you say, "Wow," every twenty episodes or so.
Naruto will surprise you, and give you that feeling usually a couple times each episode during the battles. The battles are fierce, much more brutal, and incredibly intelligent. They aren't simple matters where it is just Kame Hame Ha this and move really fast behind you that. It is truly a show that enthralls you in its world, and constantly shows you something new and exciting. DBZ is the epitome of creative stagnation. It is the same thing over and over again.
Dragonball Z shows you new stuff... what, um... every ten episodes or so? It really is a show that could be compressed to easily half its size to just have what is truly interesting in it.
And the Street Fighter II movie? Hardly compares to Naruto. Naruto is on a completely different level.
Naruto draws you in like no show I've ever seen can. It's a cliche, but you'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll experience so much that a show like DBZ and SFII can't do. I didn't give a dang about Goku's sacrifice in the Cell fight... I didn't care about anybody in the SFII movie... nothing at all like that. Naruto is a completely different level than anything else.
To even say that one of those two animes are above Naruto nears blasphemy. It is almost impossible to put the appeal of Naruto into words.
Anybody who doesn't download this while it is still free and not picked up by anybody for US release is absolutely stupid. I have watched 51 episodes and one TV special in just a week and a half. It has absorbed all my free time, and the time waiting for the rest to download is painful for me. I am now readying to download episodes 52-77 (25 episodes, or all of season 3) from alternative locations on the internet.
I type too much.

For those curious what Naruto looks like, I changed my avvy to be one of his pictures from the manga. A nice site I found has this avvy, so I felt I should use it.

What gets me is sick fans actually do the voice acting when there is no dub... those are truly fans.

This is a fanSUB. The fans put English translation text on the screen to match what is said in Japanese. This isn't a dub.

A few questions...
-How many episodes are there total?
-Is there a manga of it? And if there is, was the manga created first?
-Are they still making the anime, or is it done?
-Are there any types of problems where you use a lot of math? (power levels for instance)

So in that case they are not sick fans...
My god, Tarkan, does everything have to be related to higher intelligence in some way? ^-^ Just enjoy the show first, and then ask questions later; you'll never have real fun otherwise.
And while this episode series is very enjoyable, I wouldn't suggest it as the greatest. Try some other mainly unheard of series' while you're at it: like some series' from Clamp (they made some great ones for you guys in fantasy worlds..), Kanon, .Hack//Legend of the Twilight, and Psychic Force.

Tarkan...
Currently close to 90 episodes in Japan.
Manga made first. Manga released in 1999, with anime following perhaps two or three years later.
The show is still going very strong in Japan, with more episodes on the way.
Power levels aren't really the kind of thing that makes the show smart. It is very in-depth battle strategy, with many unique and interesting twists. Once you get into episodes 9 and up, it starts to become apparent.
Roll...
While Clamp is a very good manga group, and those other shows you listed are good, Naruto is better. You need to get through the first several episodes where they set things up for it to start to get really good.
I've watched enough of it to know that it is a great series. However, I still prefer those "unknown" ones to naruto... Like Nausicca, and Record of Lodoss War. Though, Naruto is still one of the best, I suppose..

Record of Lodos War was a drag and predictable. You all need to watch Hokuto no Ken/Fist of the North Star. Best anime series ever.

have any of you ever seen VAMPIRE HUNTER D (the 2001 movie) ?
not speaking of the old one which is still good, but damn basicaly drawn !
if you castlevania type of game, then that movie will surely blow you away, great fights even if they are short and truly a great story.
*drools at seeing the vampire coming out during the day to save his loved one !*
dang, that was truly a surprise to see !

This is the NARUTO thread, not the, "Name what you think is better than Naruto," thread. Talk about Naruto or don't post.
