I want to know your definition of time
Who determines time?
I will gather my thoughts and post them later.

The continuum of experience in which events pass from the future through the present to the past.

time is nonspatial continuum in which events occur in apparently irreversible succession from the past through the present to the future.

:hehe: Well said.
It has been made from years to years and scientist has studied the timezone by the earths rotation.

actually...
the words TIME are created by the mere humans...
some scientist decided to measure his life by calculating how many suns and moons have passed since he was born. thus placing us in a SEMI-TIME loop where we think TIME is consuming us little by little and even worse whent he watch were created we started to calculate every fliping seconds which placed us on a simple case of "24 hours a day isn't enough" kind of thought which makes us lose half of our lives looking at the time and trying to make it worth !
For me, time do exists, but its not as the other poeple are telling me it is...
it is nothing more then my own vision of how i will react when my "Time" will be over !
Time is relative, a human lives between 35-99 years while a dog lives only 10-25 years. but for them time is probably going way slower since they just do not do anything all day !
Time is always relative to your own views !
a real definition would be, a space continuum that goes forwards and never go back reguardless of how you see it or view it or even live it !
but since none of us can go back in time, no one will ever be able to confirm that theory !
like in POP: Sands of time... who knows, time can be a storm brewing with us trapped in the middle without anything to get out of it... while it can be a simple river slowly going forward in a peacefull manner !
who knows... we will probably never know the answer !
as for god creating it... i suggest you guys don't bring up religious things around here !
after all you never know which religion people in here are for !
a good example... myself, i don't think a god exists... maybe some kind of force do exists but i doubt it to be an all powerfull being capable of creating or destroying a world !

I don't have my own definition of time, so i'm gonna go with what karma said.

What is time?
As SSJ Karma replied, time is simply a human being term. I believe time is determined by seasons like winter, fall, summer, and spring. What does this have in common? The rotation of the earth. Time is determined by the rotation of the earth to make seasons come around the world. For example, it may be be spring in Florida, but winter in somewhere else. But nobody has the same time (time zones). You have eastern, pacific, and Western. Why doesn't it snow in every state in winter. Seasons. Time is like pop culture, your own views reflect what you think about time.
Who determines time?
I do believe in a god, but I will not bring religion into this. Nobody really determines time, it defines itself. We pretend to be in charge of time, but in reality we aren't. How do we know the difference between Monday and thursday? What if we didn't have a calendar, can you imagine what the world would be like? No Easter, christmas, thanksgiving, just pretty much a dead society. Who determines time? The world may never know.

yes I really beleive it, and what I mean by "the best answer" is that its the easiest answer.
some people will define it in a paragraph, and it will still be sketchy, but I usually beleive that the simplest explaination is the true explanation.

[color=#810541]There is no time. Humans make up the time. How do we know that there is 24 hours in a day? The people of this world have a system, based upon jesus passing away, and calendars. They calculate (actually they estimate) that time in one day is 24 hours? What is a day? A night? These are questions that must be answered to achieve the true definition of time.
First of all, time is too vague of a definiton. There is solar time, Sideral time, and Scientific standard time. Now time is defined as a conscious experience of duration, the period during which an action or event occurs. Time is one of the fundamental quantities of the physical world, similar to length and mass in this respect.
The concept that time is a fourth dimension

[color=#000080]Yes Zapper, several ways to measure time are in use today.
Solar time is based on the rotation of Earth on its axis. It makes use of the Sun

you guys only repeats what's been said already !
time is nothing... the only thing we can be sure of is that it exists...
like the fact that we exists we know time exists, it is up to every life forms to determine what it really is !
example... the day is when the sun comes up while th enight is when the moon comes up !
but fact is... if you take it solar wide, the notion of day and night do not exists at all as the sun and the moon is up there at all times ! thus time for me is relative to my own views of it while time for you guys is relative to your own views !
its as simple as that !
"we can't go back in time !"
again this is relative... i say we already can and do a lot of times in one day...
who knows, maybe we are all struck in a time loop where we relive our last 100 years in succession.
i mean i could die and then boom, time goes back to me be reborn again with no memories of my previous existence !
may it even be worse, when i'll die i'll be reborn reliving again and again my previous life but taking different paths at each one of it while you guys relives your own and time itself is the community of all of our decisions taken all together ! you see this for me i call the chaos theory ! it would prooves that time isn't a flowing constant but a very variable constant that change each minutes !
see what i mean, this is my view of it, while yours pretty much isn't the same as me, thus everything time theory wise will just be never solved for its up to everyone to decides what it is for them !

[color=#32CD32]ok u guys, what if.... now just think for a second... 1996 was still going on while 2005 is going on??!?! get what im saying?!?! and there are so many dimensions that time doesnt go in a straight line..... it whirls around and intertwines..... and when it does meet with another timeline..... viola!!! DE JA VOUX!! that is my proposed theory on de ja voux, patent pending!!!

The basis of time could go either way
just like evolution, either for or against it. Science or religion.

huts both aren't even viable example wise !

By tha way, whoever said "God created it", I could argue against you in so many ways!
well think about...you can take this question through two answers, Religon or Science.
who ever said it was measurment created by God...he is correct, beacuse it sees how long a person lives, when he/she is born/dies. How long it took a person to do an action, or how long he experieved something. what that person learned and how long he applied it to his life. the FATE of the person or the Destiny or when day of judgement will arrive.
Science view...rotation of the earthm night and day, day and night, months, years, weeks, days.
for me....Time is life...
you guys only repeats what's been said already !

karma your saying that time means different things to diff people and its up to them to interpret it. So you are saying that when the moon is up people can say thats the sun because of timing, hey its up to us to make up time right?
Einstein..had a very unique veiw about time....what you talk about karam is the Butterfly Effect ... i for one have no limits to my imagination..so i believe in anything to be possible

i can not tell what time means to another person as we all interpret things in our own ways therefore it has no answer just normative statements.
