Eid Mubarak to you to. Look people Eid is a day of celebration for Muslims, don't they teach you about other religions at school?

as for what is Eid..
Eid is the holy day in the islamic calendar, there are two Eids one for the end of ramahdan,(the month of fasting), and the second Eid is for Hajj,(Hajj is pilgrimage to Mecca which every muslim is required to do at least once in a lifetime), this Eid lasts for 3 days as it is for Hajj, today is the last day of Eid.
Eid Mubarak is the traditional way to say happy Eid...
and i hope that can help you understand what Eid is

Sadly, no, they don't.

I bet half the people here don't know anything about culture other than their own, me partially being one of them.
