is it free post details plz Bid For Power (BFP) is a quake 3 total conversion. We have taken quake 3 and used it to create a new game. In order to play BFP, you will need the full retail version of Quake 3 Arena by ID Software, but once you have that installed, our game is a free downloadable add-on. Bid For Power will run on any windows, linux, or mac computer that is capable of running q3 and has both the full q3 version and the 1.31 or more recent point release installed.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but there still working on the mod. (This was in sept.) and didn't have an offical beta file to have people host beta servers on.

Crome, are you one of the members that helped make the game?

If so, then I have a few question:
I heard about this game before it came out(even the website), back in early 2000 or 1999! And I believe it was only to be a DBZ game, so why has it turned into this new thing? with all these new unexisting chrs?

And, will it ever be released for any system..?
Such as PS2, X-JuNk or Mperhaps Gamecube?

funimation happenned asshoie !

they telled that the game itself was pretty good !
they said they wouldn't ask to close the DBZ part of the game if the creator would send them a movie that shows what the game can do !
so they did !
the thing got to funimation who showed it to INFOGRAMME who is responsible for all the games in US.
infogramme replyed that that this game rocked !
but to be able to comerciale it, they had to show em to bandai.
that's where the dream became nightmare !

first: bandai took about 6 months to reply...
second: during that time funimation asked the site to go down, or change the thing for the game not to be about DBZ anymore.
they didn't done so, the CREATORS decided to wait at the very last minute before changing things !
still no answer from bandai at this time.
third: after the third letter from funimation. bandai answered to the question. THIS SUCKS CLOSE IT !
fourth: the creators had to change the game again...
the characters, levels name and place themself had to be change as well as the name of the game !

so the game got delayed for another 6 months for the creators to actually have time to do the changes !
but you can still download the DBZ characters on their site and ADD them to the actual SIX there is !
that's what i did.

for the BETA part, yes there was lots of them, but as a team who made the game together, the beta were to be given to TRUTABLE person, not just to the public itself ! they didn't want to have lots of complaint and they really didn't want to have lots of flame that would be bad for the MOD itself !

when 1.0 came out, i was there ! was 2 years of waiting, but it was great, except for the dedoubling blasts and the very SLOW recharging rate ! but the game was playable and was lots of fun !

1.1 corrected almost all those bugs
1.2 added some moves and changed others + corrected lots more bug.
meaning we now have a VERY great game in itself !
have you ever tryed to beat 10 freeza in a TEAM based game ?
i tryed with my friend...
TOTAL SUICIDE, the AI is very strong and doesn't let you a single chance !
un easy it is a little bit easier, but not that much !

still, if i had 4 people to play with me on a LAN i would recommend the game over them all !

But, why would these people listen to BANDAI??
MOST of the Bandai games sucked...

actually, ALL the BANDAI games on NES and SNES games rocked the japanese market !

as for the BFP mod stil not going DBZ !
that was because the authors didn't want to JURIDICALY get involve against 3 hell of a company !

FUNIMATION, INFOGRAMME, BANDAI !
that whould have made them los everything and they didn't want it !
and like i said, you can still download the DBZ characters from their web site, meaning you can still transform the game to DBZ !

And Karma, I know you can download the DBZ chrs., but it was designed to be a DBZ Storyline...
That's what I'm pissed about.

Thou I don't watch DB series anymore, I still would LOVE to play the game.

from what i saw, the MOD was never ment to have any DBZ STORY, it has always been about DBZ FIGHTING !

but i agree, it would have been cool !

there is a mod in construction for a DBZ STORY based on that engine !
coming out good but the guys who were doing it are like working on very slow motion right now. still one of the guys i know joined them and they started to work a little faster... hope it will be coming out soon !

anyway...
we can all draem of a game that is a fighting game with DBZ story. just like the new game on PS2 that is coming !
