umm, it's tweaked to it's fullest... i said this before... TMyApp can't do nothing else about this, it mainly happens on slow computers, but you just have to deal with it (this happens to lots of players) .... ;)
thats weird because i never used to have this problem before the d.o.r update and alot of others diddn't as well, lets just roll back to before the update ??? what good is a game where u cant block supers knowing that you cant combo and most of the time people just cheap there way to level up then throw all there specials at you with no way for them to be blocked???

Hollis is correct. Blocking is set to it's highest priority, and can get no quicker/better.
In order to successfully block super moves...
You need to interpret when your opponent is about to throw a super..and block in advance.
Yup thats right...joo gotta become a mind reader from halfway around the world!
It's pretty easy though..just keep an eye on your opponents energy level.
When they begin to get close to a level up..you can expect them to throw a super move.
What the real problem is...is that people are to busy trying to hammer the projectile moves and beating on their opponents ghost...instead of trying to play a defensive game.
If you actualy pay attention to whats going on during the match (instead of being concerned about a win/loss)...you'll find that 90% of all players are extreamly predicable.
Once you realize the common tactics and timing used by the other players...you'll learn when to advance, when to retreat, when to attack, and how soon you'll need to block...and you'll become alot more successfull at the game.
Advice...
Dont rely on the super jump to evade your opponents hyper move...practice plain old blocking.
i/e: at the exact same instance you see your opponents power up image begin to slide into view, press and hold block...take the chipping damage and the energy that comes with your opponents super, so you yourself can power up quicker and fire more supers of your own. ;)
Remember, pressing and holding 1 button to block, takes less time, effort, risk, and damage then pressing 2 buttons to super jump...just to get slammed full force with a hyper anyways.

i see where your comming from, and i always try to predict when my opponet will super (usually you can find a trend eg say they always throw a special when they get to level 1) thats when i super jump away, before this update i would hardly ever get hit with a super because i could predict them and super jump away before they done there special move, it is a big part of my game, but now since something has happened with the blocking/controls going dead everytime i try super jump away my controls automatically go dead when they do there special move causing me to fall towards the ground and into the special. ??? i was just wondering if whatever tmyapp done to change is it possible to revert back to the old way ;)

I don't have this problem whats funny is at the last second my character sometimes automatically blocks right before a special its very weird

Well, I must say, AND1.. you can't beat what NoSoul4Evr said there.. To revamp the blocking back to the "old ways" would take far too much time for TMyApp.. it's like moving through several pages of coding to a few lines that need 'major' editting.. and looking at his schedule and the fact that he has a life like we all do... and faces problems like we all do, that doesn't seem like a very wise thing to go through at this point in time.. and that's why the blocking has been patched to it's max
If you follow the game as NoSoul4Evr rightly said, you'll notice that most of the gamers.. especially Ryu users, have no other strategy but throwing hadoukens at a fast pace and super jumping to perform a shinkuu hadouken.
Try and practice using the projectiles to set up fighting scenarios and make them try to move further away from you.. in order to throw more projectiles... then you move closer and give him/her a piece of the old hard kick.. ^_^.. works most of the time
Anyway, I wouldn't bother going to more strategies for you.. for NoSoul4Evr has already done that.... but what I must tell you is that you'll know when the game is intense and they're about to throw the good ol' shinkuu hadouken... you can advance to them with hard kicks.. and know the way the game behaves when there's lag, you can get him on ur own screen while he throws the shinkuu hadouken on his own... that way, your controllers freeze just when he's about to throw the the shinkuu hadouken on you.. but because of the hard kick, it doesn't actually get into you.
Your best bet would be to try and read his movements for the first few minutes/seconds of the game and if he's a regular Ryu user, you'll be able to predict his moves
Good luck and God speed!
Insert from NoSoul: Hehe, i dont leave my personal strategies open to the public for to long before i delete them. ;)
So i hope anyone viewing this topic had a chance to read at least 1 of the 3 strats i provided..before they disappeared. :D

That was some good advice from NoSoul..i realised that ages ago aswell, its the most used tactic; to s.jump barrage the opponent (as it seems on your screen) with hadukens till you see that level 1 sign flashing then super jump ...again... to confuse your opponent, then launch a shinku haduken at them.
Sometimes you can only copy what their doing to be one step ahead of them..but if you stay on your side they'll get confused and wont be able to super jump behind you!
Just realised this is going off topic so i'll stop now.

the funny thing is i could block wid my old computer (http://www.ntsearch.com/search.php?q=computer&v=55), now that i have upgraded my comp vastly this problem occurs, what happens is when your opponent does a super the functions of your control become disabled, that includes the arrow keys and your punches and kiks, therefor u are unable to send out a helper, if you do predict their moves and super jump behind them u r still frozen behind them unable to pull of some mid jabs or the uppercut super.....and about that defensive mode tactic, although i understand what u are saying, i myslefused that tactic a few months ago, but i went onto another level when i attacked more, whereas my main focus b4 was being defensive, as i say the best form of defense is attack in this game.

i have performed some upgrades to my computer as well (50 times faster internet, doubled the ram, new graphics card ect ect) and to think of it, it has kinda started since i have done that, i doubt it could be the answer but it is a possibility. i know about some techniques's of "deliberatly lagging" the game :D as blanka or nosoul said ill tell one way i use it, attack your opponet into a corner and kick hardout continuously keeping them in the corner so they cant move, but whats is really happening is usually your partner has got away on there screen but not on yours because your are creating the lag with the continuos kicking, your opeenet usually sees you kicking away at nothing in the corner and uses there special move on you, knowing this and judging how long you have been there kicking furiously (leveling up hardcore i must add :D ) super jump all the way to the other side of the screen, when the opponet charachter (on your screen) resync's when your opponet (in there screen) does a special he will appear just infront of where you super jumped to (usually giving a chance to unleash all hell on them with your newly accuired levels) but now just causing you to freeze up and not being able to move at all.
every stratigy i have is now useless with this blocking/freezing crap ???
maybe its time to blow the dust off the ps2 and x-box when i wan to play a game ???

yeah i think its due to my upgrade, my old comp had an fps of around 23-27, at this fps my hadokens were faster suprisingly, on my currrent comp i have an fps of 40 all the time and its harder to super jump, impossible to block supers and it allso freezes lol.

Yeah having a slow PC sucks...*big mofo sigh*
I have skill I know damn well I got skill now,but my PC holds me back.
And as far as you being unable to block attacks.
Thats simple it's because of lagg.(pip..lol)
You see on your screen the fighter is luanching his/her/it's special often being a custom shinku hadoken.
You seem to be like "Oh shit. the screen tuned black it's time for me to block."
Well that instinct blocking doesn't work here very well...like in the original game.
For you see on your opposing player's screen he/she/it probally already launched a Crawler Assualt.
And has now Super Jumped behind you and is continuing there assualt.
<span style='font-size:13pt;line-height:100%'>A simple solution is to know when a player is behind you even with lagg.
If you can perform a "Round House Kick." with Ryu or Akuma the opposing player is somewhere infront of you.....or exactily were you can view them.
Down,Forward + Meduim Kick.
If this move can't be performed the opposing player is behind you.
==============================================
Another way to know if a player is infront of you or behind. Is if the screen it's self stops advancing when you know yourself you haven't reached the end or limit of space in that stage.
So then you must realize your opposing player on there monitor is rapping your back with projectiles, but due to lagg this doesn't connect well when your being attacked from behind.
PS=Thats my Advice for playing with Ryu & Akuma everything else has already ben stated...and does tactics already stated cause problems....being when the opposing fighter comments on the lagg disconnection problems.</span>
