A life bug ? - Or just big lag?

Well i was playing somebody the other day and i kept doing big dmg moves to them and no life was wasted...it did hit them...they didnt block...this happens for nearly everyone i play

This is lag. Lag sucks. Theres nothing you can do. Bascilly the moves dont connect.
