Avatar and stuff

How come when I want me own avatar, it says not valid extension. I typed my URL, but still it won't work. Can any please tell me how it works. Oh, and how do I put a pic on my quote.[img]

Pic on your sig is a banner. ;) But i cant say something about avatar. Try asking Luna, If i am wrong dont flame me. ???


Try using the avatar that are allready made. :D I know how to make some banners not all. :0

Make sure you have the:

" http:// "

Other then that... all I can say is provide the url for the avatar you want (post it on the forum). And I'll/somebody will show you exaclty what should be put in for the avatar url.

click on picture u want with right mouse button then go to properties highltght all of the adress then right click again and click copy then go to ur avatar and paste on to were ur suposed to ;)

Well, thanx for replying but I did what you all told me but it still wont work. On my avatar I want my own pic, so I put the picture address from my website but it still would say not a valid extension. On my Signature where I want to put my banner, I put the address too but all it shows is the address and not the picture. Oh well i'll just keep working on it, and hopefully somehow get it. Thanx though :)

is it .gif .jpg or .jpeg because I think those are the only file types allowed. If you have anything other than that its not going to work. And did you do [IMG] the adress of the picture here [/IMG ] for your sig

Yeah, the Files I am trying to download is GIF and its a small size so that it should fit. Oh and Scorpion X I dont know what you mean by IMG?

:) Hey I got the avatar working, Scorpion X thanx for showing it out for me. I didnt realize it until I saw that there was a difference with jpg & JPG (Capitalization). Again, thanx!! Now I am just wondering how to put a pic in my signature? Oh and when I put a personal pic for my profile, it wont work as well. Please help me out, thanx!!

[IMG][/IMG ] are the Image tags. For example:

[ IMG]www.yourimage.com/image.gif[/IMG ]

where it says www.yourimage.com/image.gif, just replace it with the url of the image you want to put in your sig.and make sure there are no spaces in the tags.

Hi again, I dont want to keep on whining and bother you guys. Thanx ScorpionX, thanx for your time and for helping. But as you can see, the pictures aint showing. I even tried your (Scropion X) banner to see if it was just me. I clicked on your banner and copied the property address, and pasted it on my sig. But it wouldn't show your pic as well. So I guess its not just me, and that what am I doing wrong? Sorry to bother you guys with this lame topic, but I hope you guys will still help me out. thanx!

ok I ll give you an example of how to type it with my banner.

If you if you add a ] to [/IMG at the end of the example above and make it it should turn out like this

EDIT: I looked at the url of box with the red X in your sig and there is no file extension(.gif,.jpg,.jpeg) make sure you have the correct file extension included in the url.
