Downloaded version doesnt work... - ...but website one does?

I cant even log in on the downloaded version. It says "UNABLE to authenticate. Check you username/password or create a new account." I am positive it is the right username and password because the same username and password works on the web site version of SFO.

I got the latest version download and I dunno what else I can do to fix this. Can someone help please?

sometimes it takes 3 or 4 tries, the first time always fails for me, there is no reason why it shouldnt work. Try getting in as player see if youcan actually get in, try fighting some ppl under player and make sure evrythings working, it may be that u are missing a file but thats highly unlikely seeing as though the athentication screen appears.

Well, check and make sure that you're online while using the downloaded version.. :biggrin:

If you're online and everything seems to be working well, try again for a number of times... the authetication servers might have been down when you tried... so there's no cause for alarm. If after a few hours, you still not able to log in, send an email to info@streetfighteronline.com and you should get an answer soon enough :biggrin:

Thanks for all the replies, I will try again in a little bit. I was connected to the internet because immediately after I came onto the forums, posted my problem and checked to see if the web site one worked, which it did. If the authentication server was down, wouldn't it effect the web site one too?

I will try 4-5 times next time I get a chance, if it still won't work then I will try e-mailing them. Whats the username and password for this "player" that was mentioned in a earlier post?

Um... not really. The game servers, authetication servers and the web servers are totally different. So you don't have to worry about a chain reaction :biggrin:

Although 2 servers and the authetication server are from TMyApp, those are problably as close as they'll be... so as long as you're able to get to the game, everything'll be just fine. The only chain reaction you should expect is for the authetication server and the top scores to be down at the same time.. That's the only one I can think of.. aside that, the authetication server, doesn't affect the others... say, the Dawn Of Rage server etc :biggrin:

Well, I can't give you the password to that player... or any other player in the game. Not because I don't know them... but because you're not allowed to share passwords in the game. Just the email to that address if nothing's working and you should get an answer soon enough :biggrin: (should take about 2 - 3 working days... depending on howbusy TMyApp is)

I can get in with player (no password), but not with my account? I can't create a new one either. I can still get in on the web site version. I will try redownloading everything to make sure nothing corrupt and the I will try e-mailing. I tried it on another PC and it worked fine. I can't understand at all whats wrong. I also tried it like 10 times and I get the same thing every time...
