Alright, perhaps i need to be a little more specific. Green ping is not necessarily good ping. So ignore the DX post. So the saga began a couple of days ago. Bored as hell, thus paying a visit to ProjectX. Downloaded the 0.4c version. Everything going hunky dorry till i fought my first game.(not going to mention names, out of mutual respect) A significant difference from my previous experiences, to say the least. But it was okay, as the game should quite understandably have become more developed from my last visit. For instance the big cheese that is lag. As usual, i'll superjump towards my opponent, hk,hk,hk,dash and hurricane kick. All will connect, whilst my opponent was actually on the other side of the screen firing projectiles. Once my attack was complete, i'de jump overhead my opponent and the opponent would immediately teleport cross screens. And back to basics i guess. Useful technique as sometimes the attack actually does connect through my opponents comp. All in all, my energy health bar was kept in tact. Whereas in v.4c, the attack doesnt go according to plan. My opponent receives the information being sent from my comp. Basically my opponent knows what i'm doing and proceeds jumping back or ducking lk. This of course is 1 of many examples, highlighting the progression the game has taken from my previous encounters. As expected i observed the view changes section. My questions were all answered."geen ping" re-implemented (less lag in 1 on 1 games). Re-implemented, i thought to myself. I don't ever recall such a term as green ping? So came to the conclusion, this game was unknown to me when the green ping was first implemented. As to why i'm so interested, well. When fighting credible opponents, i'de perform a regular super which is no crime. But much to my disbelief 80% of all supers i perform would make direct contact on my opponents comp. I'm thinking wow, the bitter feud with lag is actually coming to an abrupt ending. And BANG, after finishing of my opponent, the BITCHING begins. My shocked opponent would go i ,i,i,i,i,i, but 6,5,7 supers, NOTHING. And i'm thinking what a sore loser. I'de re-match and not even half my energy health bar would go down from a high ranked player. This time he'll go i'm NEVER playing you again. The funny thing is i actually believed at that giving time my skills had improved immensely. Played next man and same thing happened. Next played a veteran and amazingly same thing happened again. This time i knew this was not bitching. I was lagging bad. All the clues pointed to green ping.

Now ppl, if you gonna post here plz don't post crap. Unless you know what you talking about. As pointed by asshole, the facts are all known. What exactly is a green ping? Why is it labelled as "green ping"? What features does this green ping have, in order to decrease lag? Guess you guy's get the picture by know. PLEASE,PLEASE an proper answer will be of great help. If so, have i ascended to an all new level of lag? The possibilities that i'm imagining at this present moment is of colossal fortitude. Have i jumped on the lag_king bandwagon? Daunting fears that ppl could do without.Amen.

SBYRD, Jenson's been here for quite a bit.

Umm Jenson, there really is no explanation, the Ping used to be Yellow Before and TMy tried to fix it, and I guess it worked, so he changed the color to Green, so it Looks like it made a difference, understand??

Its just a different color...

Good post. But i still don't get your drift. So basically the ping color determines it's success rate? Let's say we have a red ping, i wonder what differences will be spotted, lol. Why was there a yellow ping beforehand? What went wrong? What enhancements were made to the brand spanking new green ping? Which leaves me back to fundamental basics. The big question. What was the original yellow ping? Or the colorless ping for that matter. Guy's i feel as if this thread is going nowhere. So i've decided to seek upon some forum history. Find anything and i'll immediately post here. Helping other newbies, maybe. For the mean time, if anyone can add something to asshole's post then feel more than free.

Nahhh sod it. Too many pages. Far too lazy.

Jenson, the yellow Ping was the original Ping that came with the game, then TMy got so many s*it posts about LAG, and tried to fix it, and he did! And he changed the color to green, so people would REALIZE that it's tweaked, so no one bitches anymore...

It's not that big of a deal damnit, lol, just play the game!

Uh huh.... Bingo page 11, new features, [green ping]. I guess i overreacted. Going into further technical terms was perhaps uncalled for. I'm running on an average of 22.0444 fps, so no reason to complain. Just rusty on one of those patchy days, it seems. Okay i started this thread seeking an answer, which has now been answered. Guess topics dead now. Thanks for all the people that took their times off helping me with this matter.
