I was just playing SFO against somebody else and i hit him with 2 flame hidoukens from ken, and his life didnt even move? WTF is up with that? and the moves hit him dead on full blast!!!

Lag. The most annoying thing in the online gaming world. Its unpredictable and you can't prevent it but you can reduce it.

-Turn any programs on your PC off such as MSN Messenger.
-Turn your sound off in the options menu.
-Turn your background off in the options menu.

hes got a point it is lag. when u hit him it seems like u did but in reallaty he eather:

1 doged it
2 blocked
3 used helper

but u saw him getting hit. thats one way of lag. :stupid:

they are right. Though some more things count when it comes to landing hits and such. I will only mention 1.

Eventhough people think lag is due to bad connections. It can also deal with computer speeds.

If your computer is new, you wouldn't have a problem with speed since it's new. Fairly new computers (around 1-about 3yrs) have a considerably good connection (if it's maintained). Computers older than 3 yrs (without good maintenance) are satisfactory.

Basically what i'm saying is to keep your computer is the best condition possible. By updating HARDWARE and good cleaning, your computer can be the fastest thing around.

Lag.. and there a thousands ways in which lag can destroy the final output of a game.. and there's no doubt it can be the difference between winning a tournament and getting kicked out in the first round.

Whatever the situation though, just make sure you keep fighting and do NOT expect your hits to get him. Expect the worse in a fight, but hope for the best :biggrin:
