its highly UNLIKELY that ppl with firewalls can challenge ppl or host games....

i knew when i started( and when i had my old, firewalled comp) i couldn't host or challenge at all

i belive its b/c of sum net secutrities that have 2 do with firewalls...that might explain y ppl can't do that

You can't host or challenge if you have a firewall. Check the bottom box in the network section after clicking the options button. This will allow you to join and host.

Yeah but some people have trouble accepting and joining and checking the box makes sure you can. There is no way to host if you have a router/firewall.

Heh yeah as long as you have a router, hosting is a thing of the past whether you have a firewal or not. I sure do miss the days where I could say "If you wanna fight join my game", lol.

Yes. If you have a firewall or Router, you won't be able to host/challenge... but you should be able to join games and accept challenges from other users... if you can't, I suggest you read the information below:

if your behind a firewall, make sure you go to:

1.Go To(Options)
2.go under ur(network tab)
3.click(I am behind a firewal or a proxy)
4.click (old connection mode(for firewalls).

You can also try typing in AUTO, where you see Local IP

um.. just to point out; if you're just behind a firewall you CAN host. If it's a Router, then you can not host

Did you configure your network options? Remember they don't save so you need to change them every time you log in.

try checking/unchecking the first & last box in options, network connections. remember what settings work & do it every time u log-in
