Help! - I cant win anybody

Well, let me introduce to you lag

Lag is big part in this game.. you may be doing a special and every move in this world, but your opponent may not be getting hit by it... on his/her screen, he/she may be blocking or in the air away from the direction from the special, move, etc.. theres a simple word for all I just sayed, Lag... you'll see it happen alot :biggrin:

There are some ways you can try and lessen the lag:

1: go to your options inside the game and put Lag compensation on high and also you can try putting lag boost on
2: turn off programs such as; aim, msn, etc.
3: go your "Task Manager" and end some stuff such as; exe files under Owner or whatever name your on when your on the computer.. dont' neva end things with SYSTEM or Local Service or Network Service... nor SVCGHOST.EXE", it causes your comp to restart

^^ i won't try that if i was new to computers.. so you shouldn't try it if you know nothing about it or you dont' have one clue on what u'r doing :biggrin:

^ Just to add on to what Bob said above: Play the Downloaded version of SFO, it's much faster, and less laggy. If you don't know what this is.. Go
here (http://www.streetfighteronline.com/download.htm).

also, dont' be surprise if you can't login because there are some problems with the authenication servers.. so um.. ifu'r login, stay login... might not be so lucky on the second time... sometimes its up and sometimes it down.. hopefully this will be fixed soon :biggrin: seems like its working good now.

Hmm.. Try getting shockwave 8.5 :) You can get it from here (http://www.networkingfiles.com/Compression/shockwave.htm) ;)

Well, if you have Shockwave already, try getting the Missing DLL files first.. Shockwave 10 works for some computers, Shockwave 8.5 works for others.. I suggest you try both version and see which one fits you best.. ifu'r getting errors, try installing shockwave 10 on top of shockwave 8.5 :biggrin:

Oh yea another thing, If you computer is not faster than 500Mhz, expect low frame rates. (The lower the frame rate, the slower your game will run.) To get a really good fighting experience. You will need at least a 1.5ghz or better processor with at least 256mb and a great video card from NVidia or ATI.

Maybe a Gforce video card would help, or a radeon.

NOTE: Slow computer systems may help at times. There's better blocking, and your keys don't go dead as much as they do on fast systems.

I think the fps lock feature helps out ppl with slow computers.. so because of that, you will nowbe able to keep up with ppl who have fast computers.. thanks to that, and the tweaking of characters.. the game is kind of even now.. so that both users will be able to keep up with each other no matter what computer he/she has.

You can get the d/l version of the game.. and you won't have to load ever again.. to pick up your copy of the downloaded version of Sfo, you can go to the, SFO Download Page (http://www.streetfighteronline.com/download.htm)

If you need help with download, go here (http://nferno666.sytes.net/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=12583) .. there is information on how to download and where to do this and that.. oh yeah.. there are also videos to help you out VISUALLY when downloading the game :biggrin:
