Plz help is isp still down?

I read 1 of the forums and an administrator said that the update should be completed on oct 9 and it is now oct 10 and still it doesnt work...y not plz answer

Ya i was just on but for some reason i cant join a game or no1 can join mine...y

maybe it your port number or the server where down at that time

Here are a list of things that may help you:


1. You may have a router. People with routers can't can't get other players to join their games due to the built-in firewalls routers have.

2. If you don't have a router, your firewall may be on. Try going to your network properties >turn firewall off, and allow other ppl to connect through your internet connection. This will allow ppl to be able to join your hosted games (if you don't have a router).

3. Since you can't join games, you should try changing your port number to 80, and try turning on the "old connection mode for firewalls" feature. It's located in options.. On the main menu screen. When you click options > click the "network" tab.

BrushYourTeeth: yep.. there still are problems with the main authenication server.. try login in on a player name or maybe you might just get lucky and you'll be able to login.. I say that because... the server sometimes comes up and then goes back down.. so um... if you login, stay login :biggrin: or you can try login in the next hour or two :biggrin:

i dont have a router but i do have norton antivirus 2003 but wat do i do with that

I actually knew that, when I leave the forum for a while.. I don't leave it completely.. I check back on SFO all the time :D He wasn't actually talking about ISP problems. He was talking about hosting, too. Also joining..

So I answered what he said. So umm.. You have norton right? Try turning your firewall off from there. All anti-virus programs usually have firewalls programmed in them.
