Hey, I can't host a game. Is it because I'm behind a firewall or other? Sitting back waiting for a fight kinda blows so can someone help me?

if you know how to do port forwarding there might be a slight chance that you can..but i've had no success with it :(

if you know how to do port forwarding there might be a slight chance that you can..but i've had no success with it :(

that because your not behind a router/firewall...

you have to turn the firewall off to host :D

Actually to host behind a firewall isnt that hard just my methods doesnt work with ALL firewalls ofcourse. If you using Norton, Zone Alarm or firewalls by those companys then my method may not work. So I wont even bother typing it. Instead for those who arent behind any firewalls and have trouble hosting just change the port number. Which is the number you use to connect to the server which might be the Global sever for example. Just change the number untill you get through. Depends on connection and where you live and alot of other minor details too.

Yep, because a router blocks incoming traffic from getting to you. Say I was trying to connect to your pc through a local port. Ok the router wouldnt let me in because it filters out my connection. Same thing as a firewall. Anymore questions I am a computer expert/programmer anyhow. :laugh:
