Yep, i'm a n00b, I ain't afraid to admit it.

The thing is, when i'm fighting against another person, I can't do any damage to them. No matter how many times I hit them their health just stays the same. My opponents health goes down in Story Mode though.

Please help!

Your problem is lag. Lag effects everyone in any online game no matter how fast a pc/ internet connection you have.

If you want to reduce lag:
. Turn any programs you may have running in the background (MSN messenger, Windows Media etc)
. Turn the background off in your game
. Turn the music off in your game

After doing the above you may see some improvements but there is no way to have 0 lag.

Dude there is no way at all to avoid lag completely. And it's not always your PC's fault. Half the time it's the other PC or jsut the distance between to the two (your opponent might be in Hong Kong :p ).
