Ok, i'm tire of many Pop up from IE and I want to know how to block it. Everytime I log in my account to my computer and I check my "END TASK" my performance is 100% which is bad :( Once I end task it it goes back to 2-10% which means it's good now  does anyone knows how to stop it, keep causing my speed to slow down. Which is not cool for EvilAkuma

FIRST of all : you are all idiots, since when is POP-UP stoppers has anything to do with RESSOURCES problems ?

second, he said when he opens IE he gets his ressources going down... where did he ever mentinned anything about having multitudes of windows (popups) openning up at the same time ?

third: you're answer lies within this...

1 - press these keys... CTRL + ALT + DEL
2 - Go into the Tab next to Applications
3 - Then look at all the things rolling on your machine and how they take RAM wise and CPU wise !
(EX: Image Name | User Name | Processor | Mem Usage)
Where looking thru Mem usage and Processor
4 - Close everything that takes too much !
5 - Look back in your Performances and see if anything hapenned ! as in a big change !

If nothing works there, then i must add that it may be one of your programs that is malfunctionning and his slowing your computer down !

questions you might ask yourself also...
is it doing it from the start or is it hapenning after a while ?
as in, does it make that problem when the computer starts or is it doing it afer running and closing a lot of programs !

if it happens right from the start, then yeah, you got a malfunctionning program, track it down and shut it down by the way shown above !

if it does it after a while, then you got a memory problem or your programs have memory leaks which means some of them stays in memory until you close the comp down, same solution as above except that doing a clean start might be better of a solution and then openning closing programs until you see one that did not shut correctly !

in all case, a good solution would also be FORMATTING, because it mght your windows who is messed up. but that i suggest doing as a very very last ressort !

hope this will help you fix the problem !

you probably have spyware if you get an exsevie amount of pop ups

SSJKarma
05-08-2004, 10:27 PM
MSI, that was stupid saying !
IP ADRESS = the only way to work on data transfer on INTERNET

thus not having any IP ADRESS makes you not able to go on the internet at all !
nor can you have a network without an IP ADRESS !

as for Yeshua

ok, at this point EvilAKuma, my only guess is... your AOL is activating it because it needs features in it for it to work ! but then again i don't see why AOL would actually open it up for nothing, because what you told us was that AOL had his own browser !

sorry now i am out of idea and would say, too bad you'lll have to do the close program thing all the time !
can't you use IE itself and not use AOL at all ?

the internet connection is always there, may they ask you to have the program or not, it is supposed to be there ! thus enabling you ofusing your own software.

then again i can be wrong on that, but i'm sure you don't need the AOL browser at all !
so try playing the game with IE itsefl and do not start your AOL program !

that is if you can do it !

well if i want to use IE instead of AOL, then i would need a number to connect to the internet, since i got dial-up (56k),
