Yes you can...read the FAQ (http://projectx.cyberfuturism.com/faq/) for more information.

But trust me...you dont want to use a controller for this game...pads suck for this game.

Yep, using the keyboard is much better than using a gamepad.

Hey guys, I just bought a game pad. The Microsoft Sidewinder Game Pad and I've been trying to figure out how to bind keys for to make this thing work. The game pad came with no instructions and no software. I see that everyone seems to be against using a game pad, but I prefer it. If it doesn't work well, then I'll just return it, but is still want to try. I guess I'm stupid because it's already been two days and I still haven't figured it out! :angryfire: I checked out the faq section as suggested by others, but it just says you can do it, it doesn't tell you how. I've even scoured microsoft.com and couldn't find anything telling me how to do it. Can anyone help? :( Feel free to IM w/ aim if anyone knows how. My sn is GpD79 Thanks guys.

Yes, I tried looking in gaming options, but there's nothing about binding keys there grr. It only shows me what game controlers that i have on the PC (this is the only one.) I have no idea how to do it. I think I need some extra software.

What are you talking about duntedevil...no one is spamming anything. I think you need to look up the definition of spam....and it's not meat  Anyway, if anyone was following this, I'm currently on the phone w/ Microsoft. I've been on hold for a long while now, but I'll keep you post as to the outcome.

well, i called microsoft and they said that there is no software with the game pad to allow me to bind keys. He said that the program in which it is played must have this option. So I'm really frustrated. duntedevil, you said that the topic has already been answered. I don't see an answer anywhere....all I see are people refering to the FAQ....which is no help for me. Does anyone know if the game program has the option to bind keys? Please someone help me. I want to give this game pad a try. :(

Wouldn't that be redundant? That's what I thought this topic was about...game pads. That's why it's named game pads :p ....or at least i thought. :D
