Ranks..

Im pretty sure this has already been asked. But I would just like to know when the ranks will be updated.

Anyway.. the ranks are updated in short intervals.. after a couple of fights.. wins, losses.. you know. You just keep on clicking top scores.. to see if it has been updated. The mechanism?? not so sure of.. but it's always on short intervals. :biggrin:

On the other hand.. if you're asking.. when would the ranks be reset?? Then the answer.. when a new character comes in :biggrin:

Well.. that's easy.. When TMyApp gets enough time to finally sit down relax.. (yeah right!! ) and get to some hardcore coding.. He'll put up a poll, we vote and then a new character comes along. When the character's released.. Then those scores you see would be archived as pip99 said.. and then reset. :biggrin:

well umm i ddnt knoe if this following question goes wit the bugs and problems thread, but i think it would be better to ask it here: Ummm when i go to the top scores page for sfo, it seems like sum ppl aint even tryin to get their ranks up and they be like up in the top ranks. Im not gon name ne names but like one person i saw had 9 wins and 3 losses and he is rank 26. Now wut is up wit that???? i have 206 wins and 20 losses and im like almost rank 200 sumthin. Im not complainin im just askin is there a specific reason y the ppl wit the little number of wins are far ahead ofus ppl wit alot of wins???

again...im not complainin

Simple.. it's all with the laws of physics and how you get to understand the fact that space is curved and the faster you go the slower time goes for you.. *cough* (seriously dude.. that has nothing to do with the answer.. :biggrin: )

Anyway.. it's because those with fewer wins, play fighters that are on the top with large points.. It's all in the calculations.. When those players who have small points beat players with larger points, they get half of the difference of the points between them added..

e.g if asrbwettaw was no1 and he had 20000 points.. and blanka09 was no 45 with 10500 points.. if blanka09 beats asrbwettaw.. blanka09 gets 12000 - 10500 (which is 9500 for those Einsteins.. :biggrin: ) divided by 2.. which is 4750 added to his points.. and all those between both of them.. ie 2 - 44 can only watch as they go on bragging for 10 points winning and 10 points loosing as blanka09 moves up the polls.. That's why ppl with fewer wins sometimes have better ranks than you. :biggrin:

[color=green:post_uid2]thats easy... the people with a higher rank and less wins is beacuse the probably faced higher ranked people... in turn the earned more points and moved up in the ranks[/color:post_uid2] :p :biggrin: :sarcasm:
