Tag trick? - Not a crossover

hey sorry if this is a noobish type question but i played these 2 guys 2 on 1 Tag and the first player did some thing where the second player styed in the game for a the whole time. Does anyone know how you do this?

yea that's how i lost... I'm not sure but I think it's the guy who has the top rank (Morpheus), but I'm not sure.... I do remember his user name stated with an M.

probably hacking in the game and causing the other player to come out for the whole time... wasnt there supposed to be a cheat detection system in the game?
