This idea uses "point spread" in its design.

This will help ya'll to understand "point spread".
Now on to the RPG part of the idea.
I have seen the idea brought up several time over the past year. Shortly after I came up with the point spread system,it stuck me...I figured out a way to convert a players "gaming statistics" into "player attributes".
Simply divide a players wins,point spread,and losses by their total games played. To determine the players power,toughness,and weakness.
win% = power
point spread% = toughness
losses% = weakness

It is actualy more of an overview of the players "current" statistics. However it does add an RPG feel to their username.
As well as allow players to compare each others progress at the game.
Of course it would also spur people to refine their skills and knowledge of the game and how it operates (for them).
The players rank would still be determined by "point spread".
This is actualy a rather "simple" idea that could be expanded upon. A players "total games played" could also be added in,to represent the players "experience points". And could be given special titles for completeing "X" amount of games.
If it could be tied into the player "history". It could also display "how" a player wins their matchs most frequently. I/E: Super,Victory,Cherry,Cheese,Rope,LAG,Timer, what character/helper they most frequently use, etc etc etc.(TMyApp had that idea along time ago)
Well anyways thats my idea on XvsSF RPG....just figured I'd toss it out to ya'll.
