Ken and Akuma are pretty much Ryu clones (I mean, aside from the atire, there wasn't much "the makers" had to change in the way of moves). And besides, Ken is another one of those Projectile type characters...

Only one of the current 5 characters has no projectiles at all.. and Wolverine's 1 on 1 tactics are attack like there's no tommorow and corner raping techniques making Wolvie vs. Wolvie battles much less than enjoyable.

I'd much rather see a non-projectile character put out there like Sabertooth or Rogue (Rogue can use projectiles ONLY when fighting against a projectile user).

But, however much I'd like to see that happen.. the majority of the voters will be newbies and people who never post/register in the forum, and will almost certainly put up a strong vote for the Ken/Akuma characters and a semi-strong one for Gambit..

Ken Is NOT a Clone he has his own thing going on he is a close range fighter He can use the Hadoken so what that doesn't make him a projectile character. The only special thing he can do with it is shot verticaly. He relys on the shoryuken, dragon punch, ShinRyuken, Shiryueppa, And the the super Kick witch is in no way like any of Ryu or Akuma's attacks so will you all quit with the put down Ken tactics!? He's not a projectile er he can just use it as a distraction or a block move. it's all part of his cool sneekey personality Ken Is the Ying of the two shotoken characters. Ryu is the Yang and you can't have Yang without Ying can you? Didn't think so Vote Ken! or Sakura :corky: :tounge2: :yinyang:

Sure Ken and Akuma are. Just look at their arsonal. There are very few unique moves that Ryu/Ken/Akuma have.

i can do combos with shotos. Shotos have had a decline after super street fighter 2 turbo. the only shoto in mvc2 who is good is ken, because of the ken glitch and an invincible shoryuken. It's also easy to woop typhooning storms instead of combo storms. typhooning storms stay in the air, you just have to stay above them.

well, i, princevegetam, have come back to this official forum only once to express my opinions on the next character.

I believe the next character should be a street fighter character, because there are already 3 marvel characters and only 2 sf character. personally, i voted for akuma. but i do believe the most suitable addition to this game is a character with a slightly different fighting style (e.g. charlie, magneto/storm, bison, etc).

tmyapp, i personally don't think it is fair with the huge amount of more marvel characters overwhelming the puny population of sf characters. you seem to be placing your own interest(marvel) above the interest of others. you are taking characters from games ALMOST exclusively featuring marvel characters(e.g. msh, cota and not sf alpha). i think capcom characters from mvc1 should be included (why not?).

and one last question:

if zangief is added, will throws be avaliable in the game?

I say either Sakura or Ken you peopel put them down just because they're shotoken characters! the at most only have 2 moves liek Ryu the Hadoken and the Wirlwind kick. But I just have one question. Did they ever make Joseph for any of those games? You know he's Magneto after he looses his memory and joins the X-men. He's way faster, younger and stronger as Joseph so does anyone know if they made his for any of the games? Also anyone know if they made Blood storm? I can't remember. i wasn't talking about characters from street fighter alpha. i know they can't be implemented but, what about the other capcom characters from mvc1? like strider and megaman. they can be implemented. i mean in xmvssf not all the characters were marvel. they were x-men. how come you added all those marvel characters from mvc and cota and msh? why not add the non sf capcom characters from mvc? i mean, you do realize that many ppl want them in the game. i don't see what's the harm in implementing them(well, there is one harm, more work for tmyapp, lol). :D

Akuma isn't the strongest, silly. He may have more strength, and speed in some areas, but he has less Vitality than the other fighters. Although this was supposed to even it out, which it did, Akuma users from the past games never even noticed that change in vitality, or just thought that the attack was very strong. :bored:

i have been able to kill most of my opponent with DAN including the final boss in MvsC2. He simply the best joke char i know and he is one hell of a fighter if you know how to fight with him. true that he doesn't blast that long, but he still have his gouryu rekka and his combo's to fight back ! plus, his taunt's increase his super meter by much !

if you're weak with him and you're gonna still say that he sux, then i'll simply continu saying that AKUMA SUX LOTS OF DICK IN THOSE GAMES !!!!!!!

When a player uses Akuma he DOES have less vitality, especially in XMvSF, MSHvSF, MvC2, CvSNK2, and SFIII.

I haven't played revival (or heard of it) so I can't say much about that one. In Street Fighter Alpha 2 GOLD, he was very fast and cheap, but I beat him. If Akuma is next, he *must* have raging demon. Otherwise, very little distinguishes him from Ryu. (No flaming, please. Again, I get this impression from SSF2Xrev.)

morrigan, felicia, capt. commando and others like that won't be in this game cause they are not in the world of MARVEL or in the world of STREET FIGHTER !

that's final, so stop asking for char that are not in those categories !

even if you give him the graphics, he simply won't do the char.. already asked that to him so i could add guile but he said no !

so it's not the graphics who cause that negation !

-he can't dash
-his sonic hurricane has less range, and combo damage than in MvC2
-same goes for his flash kick
-Guile can't combo like in MvC2
-so he doesn't have any VS game air combos in alpha 3
alpha 3 guile doesnt have his air flash kick

Anyone that knows DAN HIBIKI knows that he isn't a distance fighter like the rest of the gang !

he is a short-range fighter and he has what it takes to be the only one who can combo in close range. meaning: he is the only one that has super that start right off without taking time for it to do, giving the only chance of blocking the moves !

when i start the combo hyper on you with him, you won't even see it coming. ok he doesn't rush in like others and then do the combo, but believe me, you will be sorry if it connect !

his shinkuu gadouken doesn't get far but is one hell of a hyper in close range and it knocked the opponent far awy with lots of damage done.

the only super that serve no purpose except losing one energy bar is his HYPER TAUNT.

his explosion super is one hell of HYPER if you're about to lose and make a double KO that could give you a chance to get in for a 3rd round.

for all those reason, i think he is the best choice cause long range fighter... I GOT ENOUGH OF THOSE !

wolvie need someone to spare with and DAN HIBIKI is the best to rival with him !

That's good in a basic SF games with not huge hypers, but this is a game which takes fast reflexes, so you can't do the basic poke, poke, tick in Marvel vs games... by the way I like dan for he is in my top 10.....

2 - you forgot about the fact that the taunt can be used to chage up to 2x times faster the hyper bar then any other char !
3 - i do hope his hyper taunt won't be there ! seeing a taunt his already enough, but 5 taunt in a row that stupid !
