View Full Version : Ideas on 4-player games - I know it hasn't been put in yet, but...

...that's exactly why I'm posting. I've decided to brainstorm as many ideas as possible on how a 4-player game would begin. Right now, I have only one idea...
Say that you click on a player's name in the chat, not to challange them, but to use a second option, to ally with them. As long as those two players are still on the board, they will play the next game involving themselves or their ally. This partnership can be dropped at any time, in case either player wants to go solo. If a game is presented, then both players must consent to the game before they start.
Since that's the only real idea that I have, I'm asking other players to share their own ideas. I know that there's probably a system already in development, but it can change, right?

heh
well, i was thinkin along the lines of people hosting a game... other would join, pick the teams, everyone would hit "start" and away they'all go to play (its more of a 'standard' way of doing it) :biggrin:
but yeah... sure, keep posting your ideas here... we are still few+ months away from the 4 player mode, so i don't see a problem implenting an option that everyone can agree on :biggrin:

Well, I think that when you tag your partner, he should become active on screen for a few seconds. That means he can do any thing he'd like to do in a particular ammount of time, like a hadouken or maybe even a super. Of course, a super would still take off some Super Bar.

yep, the players would have to share ONE super/hyper bar... which should make it quite interesting if lets say one player builds it up to lev3, and the other just wastes it all when he comes in :biggrin:

That would be cool. Inc vs. Inc vs. Inc vs. Inc We could see him destroy himself and leave us at last.

Uuummm..yeah.
If my parter used my my power bar I would shove a broom stick so far up his ass he would smell it forever.
Thats where trusted clans/teams/guils come in, I woulnd't have "open recruiting" so I know I can trust a team member.

Yeah, there will probably be lag issues, but I've come up with an idea for that.
But I have to ask a question first: Would two low-end comps sync better then a high-end and a low-end? If that's the case, then you could always designate servers to a dedicated ping level, so that syncing would be easier. That would also make 4-player much easier.
Here's another question about multi-player- Would the match end if one of the two team members was knocked out, or when both are knocked out? I think that players should be able to choose from between the two options.
lag i think i lag. :) :( :}
