since my other high / low block has been locked i couldn't give my POV on it !
Standing block and crouching block have been used since the original SF in the arcades. since there is no difference between both block in this game, i decided to ask for em ! if tmyapp has time !
here is the difference between them...
STANDING BLOCK
- block air attack
- block standing attack
- can't block crouching attacks
is also called "light block" or "normal guard"
CROUCHING BLOCK
- block standing and crouching attacks
- Can't block air attacks or any overhead attacks
is also called the "active block" or "advanced guard"
now here is what this mean by giving examples !
EXAMPLE 1
P1 is attacking P2 with standing attacks
P2 used the Standing block
P1, who is bored with the blocking of P2, try and break his guard by trying to sweep him (crouching roundhouse)
P2 is swept of his feet and his guard is broked
P1 continue attacking him when P2 gets up !
EXAMPLE 2
P1 see P2 try a jumping jab
P1 crouch Block, but get hit since Crouch blocking can't block overhead or any air attacks !
those are what i mean ! they have have been in all fighting games that i know of.
don't delete that cause i really want to know what people think of this getting in !
here is my reason to ask...
- i think it would make more strategies
- it has been in any fighting game
- the block in this game are more like that EASY mode in VS games
sorry for the lack of reason, but i am not really good in ARGUING about an idea ! :D
