well i was playing xvssf and marve| capcom2 and stuff well while i was playing them i was doing projectiles wit ken and stuff wit cycolops and ppl but then while playing it hit me there is a reason why ppl use ryu so much because of projectiles thats why there is not a lot of any other character users what i am really saying is that like when u use cycolps (ty tmy so much) his obtic blast is like this obtic blast rest for a sec obticblast rest for a sec obtic blast rest for a sec obtic blast what i am really saying is that tmy u should make ryu hadukens like that not like haduken haduken haduken haduken cause sooner or later we will be loaded wit chatacters and they will not be picked because of this same reason i am talking about. im not just talking about ryu i mean spidey akuma sent

I don't think everyone uses them as much in a Rom battle or a battle on there normal game system.

As for the ryu pausing, nah, cheapness is a part of this game, the reason he made cyc|ops slower was because the beam went across the screen very fast, thus making it impossible to counter, and very hard to dodge.

But Ryu, on the other hand, shoots a fireball, not a beam, that moves across the screen, not appears instantly like optic blast, making it easy to parry (just shoot another fireball, for crying out loud) or just jump over!


Therefore, I see no need to change the Hadoken! ;)

Well, it seems somewhat a bad idea. It would make characters with projectiles so unused, (Except for ... n00bs) that they might as well become forgotten...

i dont think the projectiles are any unbalanced at all.
If some one constantly beams you, just do a "block jump" in the beamers direction so you get in close range.

at once on the screen ??? (maybe becuz im new... i dunno..)

I dont think Wolvie is victim for the hadokens, because when he blocks them he dosent take any damage?

some characters are good without projectile you know(like Guy from SFA3) and most anti-projectile characters have moves that can overide a projectile(Zangief's Palm fire attack), counter a projectile(Zangief's Spinning Latriot from Street Fighter EX plus alpha) , or even dodge projectiles (Yun's back attack from Street Fighter III)

Besides in MvC who needs projectiles when you got 3 guys on each squad. Anyways this is bad idea would make Ryu even more unbalanced than he already is. Who knows Tmy might actually agree to this. Hey he agreed to taking drill claw from wolvie...who knows :laugh:

2 - projectiles are ok for what it is. there so much toned down that now it takes a lot of hadokens or beams to kill someone. you get all the time you need to kill someone doing only those !

3 - lag is there there is nothing you can do about it. and true, caus eof the lag, even if you played the game on the real game or a rom, throwing projectiles seems to be the solution to blocking alot of the attacks, so people keep playing it cheap like that, there is nothing you can do about it !

conclusion: this thread sucks and serves no purpose except being another way of bitching at TMY's work. this has been said too many times !

oh and DRILL CLAW, there was a big problem with it, when you see people doing this 50 times in a round and there is no way to counter it, you see there is a problem here ! even if he toned it down it still was problematic. that's why he removed it fomr the game. but he'll get it back as an air-only move to make it be less cheap and make sure none redo the same as before !

Which is tooooo complex for you to understand if you dont know anything about Buffers, Hubs, Routers, Ethernet, USB, IEEE and service providers which make up the internet ect.. As I said before STOP COMPLAINING. If you say something like ITS INTERNET LAG thats a COMPLAINT. Which cant be solved by TYMAPP. ONLY CAN BE SOLVED IF YOU GET BETTER CONNECTION. IF YOU DO, then IT'LL STILL BE THERE. Because everyone dosent have HIGH SPEED INTERNET ACCESS. Well Tmyapp could make it so only HIGH SPEED connections are able to play SFO. Like Xbox live does to its customers but how fair that would be to people with 56k. ALTHOUGH I wish Tmyapp would make it high speed connection only there are ALOT of people playing this game on 56k who injoy competition via servers(against people) ect..So pls stop complaining only gives Tmyapp more problems to worry about. Actually if you read what you typed Im not wrong at ALL. You see you typed this,"what caused the long path ? you ask...
simple answer, the packet has try to find a path that isn't blocked by other packet and since he has some TTL (Time To Live) he must find the fastest way around, but the thing is, the fastest way isn't necessarely the better one ! in most of the case the packet get in a loop (like this, ottawa to hong kong back to ottawa and get again to hong kong, you see the picture) and since his time ran out he just self destruct. then the computer in new jersey send a new message back to new york and say:"hey i never receive packet number 14 out 16, can you send it back ?" then the computer send the missing packet and the whole thing goes on again !"-end of quote..That only tells me that whatever connection you have GOES DIFFERENT ROUTES TO REACH A DESTINATION! Which would mean IF YOU WERE A HIGH SPEED INTERNET USER then YOUR PATH TO THE DESTINATION MIGHT BE LONGER OR INTERFERED BY OTHER HAZARDS examples of people clogging up a server which you must PAST to reach your destination. Ok THATS HIGHLY UNLIKELY THAT EVERYONE that plays SFO who are on HIGH SPEED connections experinced those kinds of harzards on their way to the SFO SERVER. IF SO then prove me wrong. GET THE SERVER DATA AND TRACK EVERYONE CONNECTION WITH EVERY USER. If you see that EVERY USER using a HIGH SPEED connection is experincing harzards which would make them reach the server SLOWER than normal then Im wrong. I know that cant be right. ITS IMPOSSIBLE. AND not only that if you were a 56K OR PHONE LINE USER then that would apply to you as well. Because if you took a different path to reach the SFO Server then you also experinced hazards making your connection SLOWER. IF THIS IS ALL TRUE. first off about projectiles.....leave em alone.....
I use one only to dash at my opponent and punch/kick combo.....to make it not CHEAP....i usaully wait 15 "human" seconds (not game seconds since they are long, not griping :D ) so i hope i ain't cheap.....i jump over cheap people and they usaully get there a** royal kicked!

and second.....about lag.......lag will be here forever.....no one can allevaite it all....maybe a little.....i am not griping....never had severe lag "problems" to make me lose so good job TMYapp (i hope that's right :D ) SORRY FOR THE LONG PARAGRAPHSND IF I SOUND LIKE A KNOW IT ALL BECAUSE I DON"T. there...whew.... :(
