Sentinel force - Epitomising cheapness

Just fought some guy using Sentinel.(me with Ryu)
All he would do is just rocket punch, rocket punch, rocket punch and on and on. Cancelling out all my hadoukens. No choice but to superjump and hk. All seemed okay until he launched one of those missiles.(according to the xsilver fanpage, the move is named Sentinel Force) Wow, to say. First it was unexpected and to my amazement 3 quarters of my health bar went down. I was like whoa. My fault i didnt block. I made a slight comeback but too little too late. Something had to give and i lost the round. Now the next thing is what really pissed me off. Second round: Immediately jumped hk'ing, things going smoothly his health went down. Sentinel Force, blocked, but but my health bar went down by a QUARTER, QUARTER i repeat. Then i just gave up, i could'nt beat his sentinel. When you like close to him, there's nothing you can really do, before you know it the sentinel force is coming and you basically can't dodge other then blocking. Chewing up huge chunks of your energy health bar. Sentinel invincible! So the alternative? Staying a considerable distance away, avoiding any sentinel force. If you do that, he's just gonna rocket punch you to death. Rematched him about a couple of times and in each fight he basically decimated me. Half his energy health did'nt even go down.
Played the guy before who at that time was using chun-li and wolverine. And you know i totally mutilated him with ryu. Which triggered him to use Sentinel. And boy did i pay the price.
After our series of fights, we both entered chatroom. He was like, Jenson tsk tsk, did'nt knew you sucked that bad. Which did'nt do wonders for my emotions at that particular time. The bitching onslaught continued much to my dismay. He was bigging it up as if he was the real deal. I challenge him to a ryu fight. And guess what, he denied consecutively. Man is it me or is sentinel indestructable? I mean it's a mystery why ppl prefer using ryu over sentinel when sentinel is clearly the most dominatable force. That guy, i guarantee would've easily have defeated the greatest ryu user that ever played this game. I know that for sure. But what really irritated me was the fact that he comfortably defeated someone who on his day, could defeat any ryu user out there. And the whole i suck thingy was to much to bare.

What i'm suggesting is that the administrator should modify the sentinel force move. Far less damage should be conceded from the sentinel force. Plus the move should arrive on your screen far much slower. Handing opportunities for you to dodge without making contact. If it stays this way then no ryu user would be able to defeat that sentinel user. Atleast, ryu users will be presented with a real chance of actually defeating that sentinel user. Thats of course if these requests are implemented.

:D I beat all the sentinel users with my low punches .....then at the end i uses 1 of my partner and special .....

Sentinel doesn;t stand a chance in front of ryu and besides none of the sentinals users ever defeated me ..thats just impossible man.... :D

WTF, are you talking about? Have you fought against any sentinel user remotely as good as the sentinel user i played. I'm not being disrespectful or anything, but the ones you played must've been amateur sentinel users. I'll give you an example: You say you low punch them to death.(sorry but i can't stop laughing) Man they must suck or something. Because simply a skilled sentinel user will have immediately had hit a sentinel force. Your health would've fallen dramatically. Thus, your recovery time would be too slow to perform that super you first intended to perform.

For me against ryu or chun-li using sentinal, it's easy, if u know how to use the sentinal. When blocking, sentinal's life bar barely goes down[especially the shinku-hadouken won't work]if you don't block, it will only go down 1/2. If your up against wolverine, Thats where sentinal gets weak. It can't survive wolverines barrage attacks good, it will go down 2/3. So in my opinon, sentinal is strong against ryu, if you know how to use it.

I don't think Lordcyris has fought against a decent sentinel user either. If you know your stuff, ryu CAN'T beat sentinel. Sentinel can be beaten by wolverine though.

Sentinel has some serious fall-backs if you know how to use them wisely. He is very slow. He gets up slowly. As he is getting up you can quickly move in for a combo. I toast Sentinel users with Ryu even without supers.

yep all that u have to do is use super jump over to the sent and use hk and hes done for...but i havent actually played anyone that is good with the sentinals.

Yep. but as the attacks appear to be making contact on your screen, he is actually blocking or is in the other side of the screen hp'ing or whatever. His health bar will perhaps have decreased a little, but unknowningly he'll have jumped. So no major setbacks for the sentinel user. Slow, sluggish capable of creating lag. Thats why sentinel matches are usually so long. But the sentinel i played was something else. You'd do a sweep, close in on him and no way in hell you'd think you're giving him enough space to hit one of those sentinel forces. Remarkable to say, as the lag difference is so difficult to predict, looks as if you have everything on control and then out of nowhere a sentinel force comes which basically screws the round for your. In my unbiased opinion, far too much energy is conceded from a cheap move. That match was undoubtably unfairly won.

the dreaded 'sentinel force' is quite easy to avoid.low sentinel force JUMP. medium sentinel force DUCK OR HIGH JUMP.high sentinel force DUCK.
OR- you can change your player to sentinel or go to practice mode.
yes i have defeated a great sentinel player.

Damn, i'm in the mood for cursing. If you think i'm new then i challenge you to a duel. Ryu versus Ryu. Sorry, it's just proving people wrong is a favorite passing time of mine. Again you should've read my opening post.
You're right about the rocket punch. Jumping is what i did thoroughly. Pounded on him, but it's just the sentinel user you played was not as skilled as the sentinel user i played. Example, him hitting all three sentinel forces. Not knowing which one is the correct one to use. Thus enabling you to dodge. The guy i played knew how to use a sentinel force. And again because of lag, you cant see the move coming. Times not there for you to jump or duck for that matter. So you can only block. Extremely difficult to block i may add. It's the damage done by the sentinel force by blocking and not blocking that really bugs me.
Believe me when i say this: If things stay the way things are then sentinel is most definitely a RYU-KILLER. Shame people don't realize, as they continue to use Ryu.
