Annoying firewall servers that you can't join - Avoid them

Well, since my last topic was unnecessarily locked, I had another idea floating around my head.

How annoying is it to try and join someone's server and you can't because they are behind a firewall that doesn't allow them to host yet they try to host anyway. It makes me sick. That feature should be blocked to the user once he/she clicks on "I am behind a firewall or proxy".

I thought this topic was to express our ideas?! Alot of these ideas we users have may be far fetched but this is what the topic is for. What we think can make SFO a better game. So don't lock this thread just because you think its impossible because who actually thought such a great game like SFO would be possible in the first place!

sometimes they dont know its not like theres a window always opened saying "your behind a firewall you cannot host" now is there?

but thats what quick games are for also AND it wouldn't do much i mean its like as if they were the only ones to host in the server i think only about 5% suffer from that and that isn't much now is it. so it can happen but wouldn't be much of an update..

Its not supposed to be a sick update. It's to POLISH the game.

And no, there isn't and wouldn't be a window saying "You cannot host" that is why I said in my post that they should have something that locks the "HOST GAME" feature from those who have selected "I am behind a firewall or proxy."

That would be thinking more realisticly and could be done much easier then have a window popping up anyhow.

People behind firewalls also cannot accept quick games.

most who are behind routers /firewalls dont press it so it wouldn't be much.. and some people even if they KNEW just for the fun of people wasting their time they would still host it..

SFO will never be "perfect" first because of lag.. and ####ugs whenever updates are made so we cannot have a perfect sfo..

UM ACTUALLY IM BEHIND A ZONEALARM PRO 4 FIREWALL AND I CAN STILL GET QUICKGAMES AND USE QUICK GAMES

Disgusting aittitude on you, Eric. If you don't think the game will ever be perfect, you might as well scrap all the other ideas to make this game better. If TmyApp had the same attitude as you, this game would go down in flames.

AND WITH THE EXCEPTION OF YOU, Ultimate (special you), there are others that can't host due to their firewall.
