Well since I got a faster computer my gameplay i.e blocking is non existant, my current fps is 35(Max), so I thought I would experiment and try reducing my fps by opening programmes and so forth, it eventually went down to 32 fps and i was able to block 80 percent of the time, i was wondering is it possible to put a value on the chat box to reduce your max fps for example, if i typed into the chatbox:

/fps32

This command would reduce my maximum fps to 32, this way players who have a blocking problem can manipulate the fps so they are able to block, my old computer had an fps of 29 maximum and I was able to block 100 percent of the time, this would once and for all sort out the blocking problem faced by so many users in sfo. Obviously there would be a minimum/maximum boundary for this command, maximum which is 35 and minimum could be whatever you deem acceptable.

Would like to hear opinions from other users, thanks for hearing me out.

If I am correct, changing the size of your game display by making it bigger would lower the FPS.

I notice when the screen is small, the game looks a bit faster. But when the screen is big, you see some of the animation a bit slower. You will notice this mostly in character selection.

Yeah ive tried that method, but my computer is like a machine *wait it is a machine*, nothing affects it unless you open around 500 i.e pages or run anti norton full system scan with 250 i.e pages open, here are my specs:

2.8 Ghz pentium 4
1024 mb ram
120 gb Hdd
1.2mb adsl broadband
Radeon 9600xt graphics card

Thats quiet impressive..., pretty much similar to mine, but i don't think there is anything TMy can do about your current predicament at the time...due to the next "update."

There's something that might help though...

Maybe reducing your lag might help by turning off music and sound to 0 and turn off background and try that and see if it works.

Yeah but I need to increase lag so that my fps decreases, in this case I want lag, wierd as it sounds, bcz that would be the only way for me to block.

run applications that require alot of cpu useage, other pc games prehaps, on top of that you could download a really big application file of some sort and it'll slow you down whilst playing...
its funny people always complain about too much lag and now its too little lag

Actually there is a lot of fact to what ish is saying... cause I remember talking to TMyApp. He has fairly good blocking in the game, and not because he hosts the game's engine.. but just playing it like everyone of us.

But of course, I use a better/faster computer than the one TMyApp used against me (although my video cards sucks  )... but his blocking is way better than mine. So in all honesty, with a P4 256MB RAM ... run a few programmes... just enough for you to make the game playable.. and you might get better blocking.

This of course is just a theory.. since I haven't tried it myself

if he does that, then maybe he could make a frame skip feature for us people with poopty computors...

if you really want to slow down the game, run the web version fullscreen... and change your desktop resolution to 1280x1024 ... that otta' do it...

Tried many possibilities including your idea tmyapp, here are the results...

As you can see it still doesnt have any affect upon fps, couldnt you implement such an idea, not sure on the work load required, but it cant be very difficult for you can it???

I believe your video card affects your FPS.

I kind of notice a FPS change yesterday when you choose certain characters. When you choose Spiderman or maybe sentinal, you frame rate kind of increases a little. When you get Ryu, the frame rate kind of drops.

i have a 664 Mhz comp with a really low amount of ram and the gameplay for sfo on it is perfect. I can block 100% of the time super jump perfectly and everything. An average of about 20 - 29 Fps should do the trick.

My advice you can remove the graphics card in your pc or some of the ram until it works to your liking.

wtf no , you need to have a graphics card, if not then it will run only in 16 colors mode and everything runs like it's special-ed. and you can only remove some of your RAM if it's DIMM style, if not then your ram will flip up till you put one of the two RIMM ram back in. RIMMs only work in pairs of the exact same kind....
