I think this game should have a mode for no distance attack mode, where you can't use fireballs, you can't use specials, it's just straight up skills to show what you really got.

Yeah, an alpha mode would truly distinguish the most skilled fighters, not just the ones who can unleash fireballs until their hyper bar is up for a special.

O.K. kilo alpha mode is one of the modes in street alpha.
These are the modes Aism=the mode this game is in basicily,Xism=All your power into one super(A level3 super but you can only use one untel it fills up again)
Vism=is the Alpha mode there talking about, instead of doing a special your gauge goes from 50 to 100% when you use the alpha combo you fight the same besides your hits hurt from twice to some times three times as much.(The combo can run out two ways kilo by being hit or if your at 50% it will run out faster than if it was at 100%)understand Kilo? :music:

Alpha mode is like Street Fighter Alpha
A-ism: basic alpha mode, you can alpha counter, air block, have 3 levels of super combo stockage..
X-ism: acts like Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo, you cant air block, you have one super bar which is equivalent to one level 3 super, you are limited to one super combo, you have a high guard rate...
V-ism: Custom Combo, IMO the best ISM to use, you can air block, you can't throw a super though, instead you use V-ism by tapping 2 buttons of the same strength. you have about 10 seconds to use it, you cant block while using custom combo mode, and if you get hit, the custom combo ends....
No distance attacks.. better scratch Dhealism off the list
What I'd like to see is a no projectile mode. Cyclops and Ryu are great fighters, but the addition of their projectiles (and the "cheap" tactics that can be devised with them). Long I have wanted to fight someone Ryu vs. Ryu and not Hadoken vs. Hadoken; or like my fight against Zyerx today where we were competing to see who would use the most optic blasts. I'm pretty sure I could have won if I didn't keep trying to get in close to him and actually fight him instead of just sticking to the ole' "Optic Blast, Optic Blast, Optic Blast, Optic Sweep, Optic Blast, Optic Blast" routine.
Don't really know what Alpha mode is seeing as the only SF games I've played is SF II and xvssf (online)... But I'm pretty sure it'd be fun if there's no/fewer projectiles.
BTW TMyApp, when you said that "would cause more lag." Were you referring to the "no specials" or "no distance attacks?"

Aha!!
Here's another good ass idea!!
TMy, since a LOT of people want Zangief, and you won't bring him because he would suck against all that lag and specials, the "No Distance attack" think would really help.
We could have him as a fighter and, he would do great too!
So, how about both of these Ideas?
Give it *more* thought..
