Ive recently bought a new computer, and i have never had this problem..

Everytime someone shoots a special at me, my controls go dead.

I cant do anything, cant block, cant jump, cant ANYTHING!

It's so embarrasing losing to downright n00bs, just because of a technical error.

This is the only complaint ive ever had, and it really needs to be dealt with.

lol. i am the other one who complains abotu this and all the mods discredit my complaints...they tell me everyone has been dealing with this for years and to stop bitching. Some people get it way worse than others. For me, when someone throws a super it freezes me, if i am blocking it even goes as far as taking my guard down. I am starting to get used to it but it takes a loong time. You gotta learn how to see the unseen bro. I can almost compare it to the way link reads the matrix through a computer screen. lol. You gotta be like that with it when you have the blocking problem we have. but whatever....It puts us on another level when you finally start to see through it.

Cant really compare this game to street fighter though...It has the characters in street fighter, when you block something you block it..no ifs ands or buts about it. when akuma does a raging demon, he has to grab you to make it connect....and it doesnt take 75% of your health. there is no such thing as a lvl 1 raging demon.

i know how 2 solve ur problem when the person is doing the super just pclick the mouse buttonlike a couple of times and it should work it works on my windows 95

seems like i'm not the only one that deals with the DEAD keys.. I sometimes have the same problems sajin, and then I get him with a special...

if you have a fast computer, that maintains the fps of 40.000, trust me... you will face blocking problems because your computer is kind of fast... I have tested out the blocking on Killer athlon XP and mine, that maintains the fps of 40.000 (512 mb of ram also) and I have blocking problems...and I use the default keys... it sads when you want to lag because your power go downs fast.. lol

anyways, post your system specs and what keys you use in the bug report thread and state you are still having blocking problems :biggrin:

but i prefer using the pc im on right now.. ol reliable (not old tho)

The fact of the matter is the old version comps are more capable of blocking supers than your newer comps such as the pentium 4/Athlon 64 :music: .

i for one have a cheapo $5 keyboard which doesn't like me pushing more than 2 keys at a time so that is my problem...hell i needed a replacement at the time but since it doesn't bug me much i'm use to it...does your keyboard make a beep noise if you play SFO or any other games that require you to tend to hit keys to fast?

I just keep donating in hopes that someday tmy gets what he needs in order to make this game run smoother and smoother. I dont know much about this stuff to be honest. I dont know what it's gonna take, what tools are needed. Ya know? even the people at capcom are struggling to figure out how to make a 2d fighter run smoothly online, and they got teams working on this poop.

Edit: but on some bad days liek today. It seems pointless to even continue playing this game. When i first started playing i didnt notice so many technical issues. but they seem to increase with each expansion. thus making progression nearly impossible for those ofus who have moderately good computers. No matter how much you practice and improve you get nothing to show for it. Then i say there is no point in playing anymore. Im prolly gonna have to give up on this game soon also.

yeah i have this problem too, it destroyed my whole fighting style, when i didnt have this problem i would be able to anticipate the persons specials and super jump away before they threw it, i would be able to play whole games without getting hit by one super, but now i cant do that because even if i do super jump away i freeze up in mid air and fall into the special - leaving me helpless to defend against another one done straight after it, if i get 2 specials thrown at me in a row in any match its gameover pretty much, and with these stupid ass gile and cody helpers it makes it damn near impossible to beat even the ####iest of playerz these days.

Yea u can block if your ready for when the opponent is going to use a super..
but this means you have to keep pressing back when you think there going to release a super =/

And i cant even use helpers when they use supers, so someone using a raging demon on me is just instant death =/

For some ofus, the game completly freezes when our opponent is about to do a super move... and it doesn't get any sadder when an average spidey user doing nothign but spider kicks and web sting wins you cause you can't block his or her supers.

However, I want to suggest something.. after talking with a few ppl who actually play the game, it might help if you leave the default keys on. As in, play with WASD as ur directions, UIO as punch buttons and JKL as kick buttons. It may not solve the problem totally, but it might increase ur chances of actually blocking a super :biggrin:

that's according to TMyApp and his system...but since his system is not the same as every1 elses of course blocking will be perfect for him because he tests out the builds on that system. he said he'll look into it and see if he can do something to improve it by thr next update if possible. :biggrin:
