Fight,win,switch - A rank idea.

rank is just a number...the idea would be great for people with low ranks, but bad for people with higher ranks

Well, I came up with this idea cause me and someone else beat Estset while he was rank one and I think that I should get rank two and my partner should get rank one. My partner did most of the work I just took the varible estset and dmx laid on me before I died :laugh: . And Estset reread my post.

In that case the person who had most of the health left on the winning team (if the team won in 2 vs 1) gets the higher rank and the one with the lower health gets a rank right below the partner. but if you won agensit two people then you switch with the person that has the highest rank.

All Tmyapp has to do is to add a patch for it and then give it to us (The players.) to download. See every update in sfo is a patch from the first version. So Tmy makes a patch let's us download it and there you are. That idea in one patch. And compare that to how much work it is to add a new charecter and a new version in one patch. Think about and you will find that it's not that much work compared to what Tmyapp is doing right now.

actually it's only a patch when you have the old version and update it, if you download the game for the first time there is no patch involved.


but this idea is stupid because if you get disconnected from a game when fighting a n00b, they have taken your rank, while you get theirs, the current point system works great, if you beat someone above your rank, you get half the difference between your two ranks, unless you beat someone below you, you just get 10 points...

If som1 wanted to be rank 1 then they would have to fight that 1 person. And what would happen is the low ranks would just stop playin so no1 could take their ranks.

Dude ok here it is. The top ten fighters would only fight themselves, therefore rank hungry players will never succeed, you hardly see the top hundred fighting outside their rank, what makes you think that would help?

no the only patch is the upgrades, the rest is files for the game to run with, a patch is only something that unzips itself onto existing files to replace and add, things that you manually add as files are not patches, the original download is a selfunzipping program, then you download the ccts for the charectors, then back2b which is the backrounds, sounds which is sounds such as the sound it makes when you log in, then you download the music files. there is no pathes involved in that process, i have a feeling you don't kno what a patch is...

YA good idea man..I wont flame anyone , since I didnt get flammed much in my topic **clears throat** The one character versions of sfo. Side projects can be fun for programmers, u know . to get away from the reality of programming and maintaining the actual game.
