[ unknown conflict: sakura released ] - Official discussion

6:59 am... Dec 25, 2k4... version 1.3a JUST went live ... :biggrin:

and this is what you can expect:

first off... (surprise, surprise) ... a brand new character has been added to the game: Sakura! (aka: 2nd place poll winner ... god knows how many years ago)

if you are too lazy to "raid" the fan sites... here is the list of her moves:


SAKURA MOVES:
_______________
DOWN, FORWARD + PUNCH = Shououken (air/ground)
DOWN, BACK, PUNCH = Hadouken (45 degree) (air/ground)
DOWN, BACK + KICK = Tatsumaki Senpuu Kyaku
FORWARD, DOWN, FORWARD + PUNCH = Shouryuken

DOWN, BACK + 2 PUNCHES = Shinkuu Hadouken (45 degree) (air/ground)
DOWN, FORWARD + 2 PUNCHES = Messatsu Gou Shoryu

DARK SAKURA MOVES:
_______________
FORWARD + K2 = Roundhouse Kick
DOWN, FORWARD + KICK = Hadouken
DOWN, FORWARD + 2 KICKS = Ashura Senkuu

P1, P1, FORWARD, K1, P3 = Shun Goku Satsu (level 2)


... where did all of this come from ?? well... just goes to show... on top of regular char-polls... and SFO events... i also like to work on a "little something" on the side :biggrin: ... in the end however... only you... the player's ... will decide of just how good of a chracter Sakura is...

also, to finish off the TLF event (and, perhaps the last game updates of the year) ... the "light" has been returned to all of the stages of the game... and, 5 semi-new music tracks have been added...

... and of course we can't release a new character without resetting the "top scores" now can we ?? :biggrin: ... let the fight for the first place begin once again (as i take a few days to update the "archive" section)...

more pointless/small changes have also been made to the game (including an improved way to hand-out "tournament" prises... and if that is what you need... then speak to Nferno666 :biggrin: )

and.. last but not least... the mighty M. Bison falls before the power of the Rage Factor... (a little something for the "normies" )

post all bugs in the proper section/thread... and when you're not busy bitching... make sure to take some time off, and have yourself a Merry Christmas :xmas:

WOW...just looking back from what we started from, Ryu. Then Wolverine... and more just kept on comming. I thought Ryu, Wolvie, Spidey, Cyc, and Senti were enough. Then Akuma, Ken, Bison and 9 New Helpers. All i can say is w..o...w.. its basically an evolution, we started small and we will become HUGE and still are.

well we have new cheapness, sakura's dash is unstoppable, and almost unavoidable, and people just go back and forth with it, which is only stoppable by doing the dash in the air...

can anyone beat story mode with her, i can get to bison, but bison loves his level 3 rd, and omega stops her shouken everytime, her rd is useless, becuase it will get him to level 3 and he will rd you back.


i haven't been this annoyed with a boss since gill, and that was just ubercheapness...

I love the new music and the hadokens, that caught me totally of gaurd the character select screen is something i got to get use to and I love the dance that she does in the end!

floaterz: there is always the "future of SFO"... when we can always add more moves to all of the charcters (ala: Sentinel Revised) :biggrin:

her shinku hadoken, was made to only be able to hit people in the air, but to even her supers out he made it so it can be done midair, it's supposed to be huge, but do little damage...

And to all the people who are complaining about Sakura i say its even between about the Street Fighters and marve| fighters cause marve| has Cyclops and all those lasers while Sakura has the shinkuu hadoeken and dash attack.

And if you excuse me i need to get some wins before TmyApp changes anything with Sakura
there's a difference, cyclops isn't so bad now that he was fixed a long time ago, but sakura can block all moves, and a few supers, and it beats all physical supers. on top of that it can be done with less than a second of recoil, meaning there is no time to stop it in between attacks...

i just finish being in a fight by using sakura but this fight was different then all the others ................... i never used her shouken (or dash attack if you call it that way) in this fight and i won so there is no need to be cheap i just used her normal attacks like the hadoekens, hurricane kick, shoryuken, and i used her shoryuken special more then her shinkuu hadoeken. You don't have to be cheap to win you know but when i get my cyclops back i'll be cheap :p

I think things you should do to improve Sakura are...

-Increase the recovery time after Sakura does a hadoken so she can't go crazy with them.
-Increase the recovery time of Sakura's shouryuken (dash attack) by 2 sec. so the cheapness will end.
-Decrease Sakura's Shinkuu Hadoken super to only 2 lines of her hadoukens going straight up at a 45 degree angle.
-Decrease the damage of Sakura's Shun-Goku-Satsu (Raging Demon) super to only 30% damage (1/2 of the normal damage and 10% less then a level RD from Akuma).
-Slow down the travel speeds of her hadokens
- Reduce the damage produced by her shouryuken (dash attack) by 50%
- Remove the her Ryu-Shouryuken since her true Shouryuken is the dash attack. I mean Jesus Christ, she actually says "SHOURYUKEN" while doing it. =/
-Allow her aerial Shinkuu Hadouken to be available to only VIPs.
-Add her Hurricane Kick super to replace the aerial Shinkuu Hadouken for normal players.

Thats pretty much it. I think that would solve alot of problems and reduce cheapness by a whole lot.
